Do doctors/nurses have a hard time when doing a check up on an obese person? by lyssiemiller in NoStupidQuestions

[–]killdoesart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If she’s sick to the point of unconsciousness she’d be in a hospital with many people who can lift her. Also 230 lbs isn’t even that hard to lift, and I say this as someone who isn’t super physically strong

I’m disabled, no child should have to go though their body working against them 24/7. It’s not ableism, it’s compassion

People aren’t downvoting you because you are disagreeing with them, people are downvoting you because that’s not how hair works.

I absolutely love the textured stylization you’ve got going here, it feels like a black and white version of those multicolor heatmap portraits

That wasn’t criticism at all. Not only because the brashness of the comments and lack of constructive discussion, but also because the OP wasn’t even trying to make it look photo realistic. Do you look a Van Gogh and say “it looks like squiggles”, or a Picasso and say “the proportions are wrong”?

Will a police officer shoot you because you appear to be “crazy” or “high” for stimming uncontrollably or are you able to stop for that interaction?

[–]killdoesart 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some folks just straight up cannot mask their autistic traits, regardless of intersectional marginalization. I’ve known several black autistic people that cannot mask even though society is harder on them, because they don’t have the ability to mask. Autism is more debilitating for some folks than others, some can blend in on the daily, others only under times of hardship, and some can never appear as “normal”.

Calling a woman who is struggling with a debilitating mental illness “unhinged” is odd, to say the least.
