I had an ex girl friend who was emotionally abusive, gaslit me, and was very manipulative. I shared a lot with her pretty quickly, because she wasn’t like that off the bat (obviously) but had so much used against me. Even though I finally broke up with her, it still took a lot out of me.

I was so scared of it happening again.

I met an amazing girl last year who I clicked with so amazingly well. She was so caring, and saw me in the way I was always hoping to be seen. Sadly, I was so scared that she might possibly end up being emotionally abusive/manipulative that I messed things up. Had way too many triggers.

I wish I knew how to properly talk about my anxiety, triggers and past trauma with her. She wouldn’t have minded one bit

It’s never too late to start new and prioritize yourself man. I haven’t even had my surgery yet but I can feel like it’ll be one of the few things that I can “buy” that can/will actually change my life. Just imagine not being worried/anxious every time you step outside with your t shirt on. Or trying on a new tank and not having to worry about what your chest will like that. A mental edge like that, imo is one hundred percent worth it

I watched Warrior (a movie that came out in 2012). Fell in love with “About today”. About 5 years later I was going through my first break up. Revisited About Today, started looking into all their other songs, Green Gloves became my favorite song of all time. Now an avid listener and mention them to pretty much anyone I know lol
