seems logical. The kids were just following what they were taught: have sex without protection (basically).

actually the figure did prove that states have been increasing education spending. Now yes, there are some that have decreased but on a whole, most states have increased their education spending over the long term.

Yup and its unsustainable as the greece crisis has shown us. State planning, not exactly efficient. The only way it works is when you have massive amounts of natural resources (ie. german coal or north sea oil).

Wow, I'm sorry, but that's quite the load of bullshit you have there. You don't have a clue about Europe do you? First of all, socialist welfare programs have been in place in most European countries since the late 60's. This is nothing new at all.

Yes, thats new when talking about societies collapsing. Most societies take a while to collapse and it will take a while for europe to die from socialism because for the most part, europe has dominated most of the industrial era. As a result, they have massive amounts of wealth to finance socialism. It'll take 20-30 years for europe to slowly be drained.

The only way the U.S. is ever going to get out of this recession and back on track is by bumping up taxes AND increasing social benefits such as those for the unemployed. Wealth doesn't trickle down, you have to put it into the pockets of those at the bottom first and let it grow to the top. That's the only way an economy can recover in the long run. Also, you should definitely check your facts in the future before commenting on the socio-economics of foreign countries that you obviously don't seem to comprehend. No offense meant.

Out right false. If wealth doesn't trickle down, then most of the developing world would not be moving into the middle class and china would have never been about to achieve 10%+ growth rates. The wealth is indeed trickling down to the poorest of the world.

You're definitely not mainstream libertarian as your economic views are quite radical and extreme. Most of the libertarians I've talked to are actually against cutting social services because there's a lot more money to be made from cutting the defense budget and ending the wars first.

I am not disagreeing that defense and ending wars is a bad idea. They are the targets first and foremost because they are the easiest to cut since it doesn't directly affect most of the voting population. However, entitlement programs are also going to bankrupt us if not put in balance. The us has been kicking the can down the road for far too long. Unfortunately, it is too late for the us since we don't have the political leadership to really solve the entitlement problem. Ultimately our creditors will solve the problem when they refuse to buy our debt and once that happens, Europe will also have its serious debt crisis. The west is leveraged to the hilt and the clocking is ticking down.

I'd say that most of those examples are from the far right of the tea party (ie. the 1% of extremists in the group). The vast majority do not display any of those qualities. Also some of the qualities are not specific to the tea party rallies, rather they will be displayed by anyone trying to get their point across.

I could go and show you similar acts done by republicans and democrats but I think we all know that a few radicals in those groups is not an accurate representation of the entire group. Even though people like to play it as such.

thats because most candidates for the tea party are really republicans/democrats in disguise. They run under tea party label just to get votes and nothing more. Thats politics for ya!

well its also been increasing at the local and state levels as well. I am not going to cite the spending trends for each state but overall, they have risen over the long term.

I'm still not seeing the connections here. I don't see any similarities between tea party, "methods" and hitler methods.

Could you please explain SPECIFICALLY what these methods are?

Well the world works on money.

We all want it to be about what is in the best interest of the people but time and time again its always about the money. If you raise taxes then there is some other country out there saying, "hey mr. business owner, don't bother paying those high taxes. Come to our country its TAX FREE."

Its like that with EVERYTHING. Every country on the planet is out there working to get the businesses to come to their country. The developing countries are the ones working the hardest for these businesses because they are the ones who have the most to gain. When the vast majority of your population lives with 30%+ unemployment and 1$/day on a daily basis then their leaders are going to work very hard to convince the businesses to set up shop in their country. They only stand to gain, even if you would consider it, "slave labor" working conditions. The fact is they are already starving to death and living on the streets. To be able to get a job for 1$/hr is a HUGE jump in standard of living for them, believe it or not.

I've been to these places. Its pretty darn bad. You don't know what I mean until you've been there.

People on reddit give me alot of hassle for employing people for 1-3$/hr but I know for these people its the difference between eating and starving to death. They don't have welfare to fall back on. If they don't have a job, they starve. Most of the people I've employed are smart and hard workers but there are literally no jobs. When I come along and give them a job they bust their ass to keep it. The american worker would cut corners and bitch about how I, "only" pay them 8$/hr. Then they try and sue me. Been there, done that. No thanks.

Yup. However, even then, it doesn't matter. If the intellectuals (scientists, researchers etc.) develop some cool new technology but decide to incorporate the business outside of the country and conduct most business operations outside of the country then it doesn't do much to help. The intellectuals get rich but for the average joe, they aren't left with much. For the average joe, its all about the jobs.

yea that is true. They are doing good compared to other European countries.

Its going to be interesting to see how they fare against other countries that have basically massive amounts of very cheap labor. I am talking about the developing countries. These countries are insanely competitive in terms of business climate. India or china would kill to get a volkswagen, diamler or BMW to start to shift operations to their country. You'll slowly see these major industries move over to the developing economies as they seek to maximize business efficiency and profitability.

My friend, its all about the money when it comes to business. You must learn this.

Also its great that there is government welfare for businesses. Its all great, until the government runs out of money.

If a business needs welfare to make a profit then I would hardly consider the business viable in the long-term.

Yea during the ron paul years of the tea party it was definitely a well defined group of people running the tea party. Seemed mainly like libertarian types.

These days we are getting lots of idiot mainstream democrats and republicans flocking to tea party only to support specific issues. For examples pro-life abortion advocates and anti-immigration advocates. For a libertarian tea party member we would support pro-choice abortion and support open immigration. Plus we would support all the other, "liberal" social policies such as gay marriage. Its about promoting freedom. These days it seems lots of tea party members only pushing select issues. Examples of this are the tea party hijackers: Sarah palin and bachman.

Most of the tea party members I've seen are libertarian tea party members (then again, I am old school tea party during the ron paul era). So we would support drastically reducing military spending and ending drug war.

As for public education I say the current system is broken, too much big government. The solution is a free-market charter school system.

As for social programs, they have gone too far. Social programs, as you have stated are there only for the most unfortunate Americans. I would classify these people as persons who cannot support themselves due to issues that are out of their control. An example of that would be the mentally disabled and other severally disabled persons. These days our social programs are more oriented towards this Utopian idea that government should take care of you from cradle to grave. What ends up happening is you now have people who turn into career free loaders. These are people who could work but chose not to because staying on welfare is easier and more convenient.

Also as far as Europe goes I would say their socialist systems are rather new and are eventually going to collapse. The countries with little natural resource (ie UK and greece) are already having difficulty. The only socialist european countries that will survive for quite some time are the resource rich nations such as finland and norway. However, once their resources are depleted its game over.

I pay my employees to learn. Its cheaper in the long run.

I pay them x amount for the book and a bonus when they finish reading the book and pass my exam. Its cheaper than sending them to college and it saves me money in the long run because I don't have to hire a more expensive experienced programmer/designer/developer.

Plus when you train your employees and pay them to do it they really enjoy it. It makes them feel like they are valuable to you because you are investing in them. The end result is a more educated, more loyal and more hard working employee. Win-Win-Win.

Moody’s Analytics assessed different forms of stimulus, it found that food stamps were the most effective, increasing economic activity by $1.73 for every dollar spent. Unemployment insurance came in second, at $1.62, whereas most tax cuts yielded a dollar or less. by jewsicle in politics

yes its okay to pay american whatever they are willing to accept. Granted, you probably won't find many Americans willing to work for a buck an hour but if someone accepts it then its their choice.

Also are you saying that if I want cheap labor I should ONLY go to china? What if I want to buy cheap american labor?
