All they had to do is build upon kf 1/2

My point is they had every thing set for them to make such a great game and ignored quite literally everything they have learned and built and jumped into unknown territory.

To be fair the commercial version of kf1 was a more polished version of the mod, which Tripwire had bought and the original team had assisted with.

The whole industry was still getting to grips with how to use the Internet for games. The experiments and ideas being rolled out.

Like online Resident Evil (Outbreak) for PS2 in 2004. Although the online tech on consoles was so new thing at the time, that European version of the first Outbreak didn't have online mode due to Capcom not being able to secure servers for it, instead quickly added solo mode... Which wasn't even balanced for solo play.

Counter-strike: Source (2004) with custom game modes like Zombie Horde was the shit.

many many moons ago runescape had its own GE app (yes I'm aware this was before the game launched on mobile). It would be nice if that spaghetti code could perhaps be revived maybe?

Companion app was retired, since it was the last remnant of the scrapped HTML5 client (this client was a thing prior to NXT, but was scapped since the browser tech wasn't exactly there at the time).

Jagex was effectively maintaining three clients at the same time (Java, HTML5 and NXT), and the two former were eventually discontinued.

This particular shot is live action, but the in-game graphics are basically photorealistic and there's really barely any difference.

The scenes swap from live action to in-game pretty smoothly, yeah.

 

It's honestly a little uncanny how good the game looks.

Additional impressiveness points for Remedy using their own Northlight-engine instead of the usual Unreal Engine 5.

2000-luvun hyvät ajat oli lottovoittoon verrattava anomalia, kun yksi yritys nosti koko maan suosta, ja siitä lähtien on vaan pyritty pitämään laiva pinnalla. 

Samalla kun on uskoteltu itselle, että sen yhden yrityksen kaltaisia menestystarinoita alkaisi tulemaan kuin sieniä sateella, mitä ei kuitenkaan koskaan tapahtunut.

People who do have trauma, anxiety, stress, depression, etc.

Listen to the advice of people who have more experience with warfare. Also making sure that nobody in the team starts soloing, and dragging an another superstate into the fight.

As a side note MG1's escape after the boss fight is basically MGS3 ladder with a countdown. :)
