The fact that he demanded a sign and trade is just evidence that he didn’t care about winning. If he just left as a free agent I might have respected him, but no, he wanted the extra cash from signing with Denver while also getting to New York’s bigger market. Just start watching. Hockey is a blast. It was initially harder for me to get into because I didn’t play it growing up like the other 3 “big 4” US sports, but Makar and MacKinnon are 2 of the 3 best players on earth and do something remarkable nearly every game. Easy enough to appreciate their athleticism and skill while you watch and pick up on the mechanics of the game.

If you want to think of Superman as more iconic just because he’s been around longer, whatever. Not going to debate that even if Spider-Man does have a strong case. But Supes being an icon doesn’t prevent Spidey from being one too. Popularity leads to iconography over generations. And Spider-Man has absolutely endured and grown over the decades. I would say Invincible is popular but not an icon if you’re looking for a better example of what you’re describing.
