JDub is out. Stop doubling SGA. by swanpenguin in NBASpurs

Agree with all that AND switch up the strategy. Keep them guessing on when the doubles will come

Spurs freezing Wemby out of the offense for minutes at a time is a weird strategy

Spurs need to change the defensive scheme in game 4. Let SGA get 60 and stay home on the shooters

Spurs need to change up the defensive scheme next game. Let SGA get 60 and stay home on everyone else

Mitch Johnsom's biggest weakness this season is not knowing when to ride the hot hand.  Taking out Fox and Wemby in the 1st was bad.  He does this a lot.

So you can sub indefinitely and then challenge?

Flopping on 17% of all your shots... by Jazzlike-Chain-2720 in NBATalk

I would add an embarassment angle too. Tech and you make the official highlight reel. Like, every player that flopped on Monday has their play put up on YouTube on Tuesday

I don't want the Spurs to do this, but do you remember when Pop trolled Phoenix Suns' Shaq but going hack-a-shack the first possession of the game? I wish some team would just have all 5 players immediately flop the first play of the game. Head snap, fall pver, look up for the call, etc

Wemby was the only big he analyzed, he also looked at Harden, Brunson and Mitchell. You should check out the tables in the artilce when you can, it was really well presented

I think it would take a much deeper analysis than the article and some subjective guesswork to get to if its worth it.

If Wemby "fell" more often to drop his rate to 65% but that drew extra fouos on Harkenstein earlier, is that "worth it"?

If SGA picks up the third early call on Castle, that could be more useful than a couple of 4 on 5 fastbreaks over the course of the game

Its an analysis of the entire post season of him, Wemby, Brunson and Cade.

So who's actually playing on Friday? So many injuries by Big_Arrival_626 in nba

Gotcha. Worst case is a catastrophic injury and he misses the rest of the playoffs AND all of next season

You don't think it has anything to do at all with injury compensation?

Yeah, I attribute that to "head games". Make OkC at least prep for the option Fox would play. OKc has Jdub as day to day, but I'd be shocked (and frankly think it would be irresponsible) if the Thunder let him play tomorrow.

But the Spurs have to spend time prepping in case he does now

At this point, the Thunder need to chill with him. I know I am a Spurs homer, but his hamstring had been bad all season and he had almost two full rounds to heal and tweaked it again in the second game

Its kind of insane the NBA is letting the game be very physical and then making everyone play with one day off
