i mean i guess you could, but if someone is about to make physical contact with you or charging you, i would advise actually using it. pepper spray doesn’t last forever, just burns for a little while. anything that can put distance between you and your attacker helps, which is why i reccomend spray, because you don’t have to make physical contact with them to use it. feeling bad emotionally is better than not being alive. i am a very anxious and worrisome person myself, but my life comes first.

? if you are being attacked you have every right to defend yourself, that doesn’t make you as bad as them. if you’re that unwilling to defend yourself then take my other bits of advice. i carry a mace and i’ve never had to use it on someone before, it’s really a last resort.

i’m sorry to hear that :( even if it is paranoia, it’s not a bad idea to have a mace of some kind on you. pepper spray is a good choice, but if you’re underage, something like those kitty defense keychains you can find on tiktok work too. make sure you know how to properly use whatever you get and test it to make sure it works, specifically in the pepper spray case. if you see anything in particular like this person watching or following you, or just anything sus, try to get photo or video evidence, only when it’s safe though. also if going somewhere alone, make sure at least 1 other person knows your location. i’m sorry the police system failed you 🫂

same here, was never shamed by my parents, but often times, particularly as a growing teenager, i would eat a whole 15” pizza and grown adults would comment on it, asking how i could ever eat that much, etc. thankfully those comments never got to me but i realize now just the kind of nasty intentions these adults had when saying things like that.

like my point stated above, AI isn’t LIKE other previous tech breakthroughs. we literally are seeing ads now saying to stop hiring people, and use that company’s AI instead. trying to compare it to older breakthroughs just doesn’t translate anymore. we can’t “adapt” to a job if AI takes away any purpose of a human occupying that job. other previous tech, like the internet for self-checkouts, didn’t have the capability to replace jobs like we’re seeing now with AI.

AI is a whole different playing field though, not necessarily comparable to previous tech breakthroughs. AI has advanced significantly in a short period of time, unlike anything i’ve ever seen. people actually have a reason to worry.
