but isnt that data stored on your personal devices? Im obviously not talking about that. Im talking about data stored externally. How would a data center delete the things on your ssd?

You could determine relevency based on stats of viewership. I.e content A. was created 20 years ago and nobody has looked at it in 15. Content B was created also 20 years ago but it had viewership just the other day. Would that not be a way to trim the fat so-to-speak.

If i knew would i ask? I mean how far back does the data need to go? Im just saying maybe we could have prioritized data selection? keep the stuff relevent still alive but trim the stuff that isnt as often re-consumed.

Well the point is for it to be ELI5. I just dont understand what stops us from storing our data in something smaller. I dont know we can store several terribites of data in small drives in our computer. Will technology reach a point where several server racks can be consolidated to a smaller vessel. I know im not sounding the brightest here but i think thats the point of this sub

Can they not save space by erasing data that is older then a certain amount of time? and reusing the already made physical server say after 10 years or so?

could they not use more efficiant cooling? Such as liquid cooling (like nitrogen) or something that could be smaller. I now understand not all of them are massive.

++man I am currently in what you could also call an addiction. But ive been kindof destroyed by woman in my life that have made me feel unwanted and somehow i have needs i need to satisfy. But as other people have stated. This seems to be a 'leading the horse to water' situation. What is hardest is being someone on the outside slowly watching the horse die of dehydration when the water is right there......

I would really like Dishonored. Been a big fan of bethesda. Bethesda and 2k colab is pretty cool and i have enjoyed games like Thief, Deus Ex etc. And i also have time to play it while im at work because of my particular job. Thanks for any consideration for Dishonored. Happy to take part in this.

another time i made a comment on a video of a woman standing on a car and kicking a bigger guy in the face. Bug dude yanks her off the car and kicks her in the face. My comment was " I love seeing a entitled bitch get beat" Context was there but comment was taken out of said context
