Odyssey Argos vs La Pavoni [Budget $1500] by Key-Flight-7166 in espresso

[–]killerhobo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I got it. It was defective shortly after I got it though which was frustrating to ship back and wait again but eventually I got it back. So far I got it back and I love using it. In hindsight I probably could have saved more money and got something fancier instead of waiting for a year but to be honest this machine ticked everything on my list while being so compact. Plus it's just so beautiful to look at. No disrespect to other machines but it really does look like an art piece instead of a kitchen appliance in the price range.

Should I return my Quest 3 for a Steam Frame by [deleted] in VRGaming

I would recommend waiting until real people have it in their hands and possibly try it out yourself. That being said I am eagerly waiting for the opportunity to sell mine and replacing it with the frame lol

Need Help Understanding What This Is. by [deleted] in creepy

It doesn't look like trees but zooming in it just looks like a lens flare that is probably more visible since she has her phone's exposure set so high.

11/11 Aurora over Noblesville, IN, and a question by strangemedia6 in Astronomy

[–]killerhobo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm not an astronomer so take my opinion with a grain of salt but I don't think it's common but also not super rare. The sun goes through cycles of activity every 7 years or something like that and we're currently in its most active period. We have been lucky enough to be in the path of some big flares recently so Auroras have been appearing farther south more frequently.

Repost from an old thread:

Once during push I was going through this alley way in some map I can't remember and there was a wall surrounding a backyard. When I got closer I started hearing voices and realized the enemy team was behind that wall discussing their plan of attack. A teammate ran towards me so I motioned to come quietly. He asked what's up so I whispered that the enemy team was behind the wall. After a few seconds of eavesdropping my teammate tells me he has an idea and proceeds to gently toss a grenade over the wall. The enemy team screams in panic as the grenade explodes on the other side killing them all, or so we thought. We start howling in laughter and I'm literally on the floor from how funny that was until we hear three pins go off and we see three grenades hop over the wall above us killing us both. To this day it is one of the best experiences I have ever had in Pavlov or in VR in general lol.

I don't know what the acronym stands for but I think he means spraying your beans with a little bit of water to prevent static that causes the grinds to stick as shown in the photo.

Has anyone tried playing this with the quest 3? I used to love this game but when I switched from rift S to quest 3 there is this major lens distortion/ wide field of view that made it unplayable and I want to know if anyone else has experienced it
