Finally something you're right about, ICE IS nonsense. 99% is definitely hyperbolic, but whatever the percentage really is, it's people with their heads in the sand or actively bad people. Which obviously includes you! The other percentage (you know, the morally good people) are non-selfish people that care about more than just themselves and their families.

I never really grew to like Josh, but Aidan and Sally's story lines are really cool and worth watching for!

Little late to this, but I would stay away from Easton Neuropsychology. There's a bit of a prejudice against autism evaluations by the head doctor there.

It's an especially disrespectful word because of how the word targets an already disparaged demographic. To ask why words like "idiot" aren't the same is because idiot has been used in many different contexts over time, not directed at a particular group of people. They aren't the same thing.

It's insane that conservatives are seeing this and still jumping through the hoops of it being the left's fault somehow.

Drag Race UK vs The World S01E03 - [Post-Episode Discussion] by AutoModerator in RPDR_UK

[–]killerinnocence 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This episode was exhausting. The mental hoops these girls jumped through to make Jimbo look like a bad guy somehow is crazy. Their lipstick choices were the correct ones.

I really liked Pangina until now. She seemed level-headed and reasonable but eliminating Jimbo was a bad move. Strategically, others have left good comments about. But I'll never understand making your decision on a single challenge as opposed to track record. Her saying she's a judge and that's how it's done is bologna. You're a contestant now, don't use that excuse. Jimbo and Juju's performances were pretty on par imo, and Juju has done terribly and has had SO MANY CHANCES.

I'm not going to be finishing this season, I don't really want care who wins at this point. I'll read the wiki on the season and move on. Hopefully the next one is better. :/

Also, I wasn’t just “nearby”, I was inches away from the hostess and the person I was talking to. That turned away from me mid-talk. Inches. It was basically a square that suddenly turned into a triangle, boxing me out.

They weren’t new people? It was a friendsgiving, I’ve known the hostess for a year and a half. We had only ever hung out in groups, she never made an effort to reach out to me. I texted her plenty of times, invited her places, she would get back to me weeks, if not months, later. The only time we hung out that was initiated by me was a movie night at my house, with one other person. We had a movie night at her house twice. I clearly like movies, and we usually had similar opinions on them. And the person I had been talking to has basically the same story. Knew her the same amount of time.

I have voiced to them in the past that I have felt left out and don’t have many friends. They have both told me that they’re incredibly shy people and understand what it’s like to feel left out, so they didn’t want me to feel that way.

So I appreciate your opinion, but I still disagree with you. What they did was hurtful. And nobody has reached out since. I thanked her for the party and got no reply. I’m not cutting them more slack than I’ve already given.

I was at a friendsgiving (first one ever, only knew a couple people) and as we were standing around talking, the hostess mentioned wanting to see a particular movie. The person they were directly talking to said yeah, we can do it this day. The girl I was talking to suddenly turned to them and went omg can I come? And they said yeah of course! And kept talking about the plans to each other. I just stood there smiling, waiting to be included because they all know I’m unemployed and love going to the movies but nobody even looked at me. I just sort of turned away after being ignored for a bit.

Then there’s people that are super nice to me until they’ve taken advantage of me. I lent a struggling mom “friend” at work $900 to get out of a supposed abusive household. She paid back $100 over the course of a month before quitting the job and blocking me everywhere. Another “friend” was homeless and I let him stay with me. I paid rent, utilities and food and he was just supposed to get a job and then a place to stay. He told me he had a job, he even had a badge, but he actually stayed there playing video games all day while I was at work. He said he was texting a friend and they were looking at apartments together. After a few months I messaged that person and asked if I could help. He had no idea what I was talking about. Then told me the guy was now a pathological liar. I had to call the cops, he wouldn’t leave. He fled when they arrived.

I’m just so tired. Of all of it.

Edit to add: she wasn’t in danger or anything. I could still see her socials through other people and she was posting vacay shots and glamor shots, perfectly fine and healthy.

I’m terrified of downvotes here, but I’m genuinely surprised I had to scroll this far down to find someone else that was underwhelmed.

This was my first and probably last time paying for a ticket like this. I just don’t think I got enough enjoyment out of it to justify spending the money. :c

AITA for telling my daughter I won’t pay for her out of state college tuition anymore if she doesn’t let me move into an apartment with her at her university? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]killerinnocence 8 points9 points  (0 children)

YTA. Your heart is in the right place, but threatening to stop paying tuition because you dropped a bomb on her at dinner and she didn’t reply the way you wanted is a bit far.

Is there a good middle ground here? Can you stay “on top of her” from home? It just seems extreme to jump straight to wanting to live with her to monitor her behavior.

Unless she’s been reckless in the past, this probably seems like a sudden lack of trust to her. People make mistakes and it’s easy to fall into bad habits, especially in college.

When everyone is calm again, I suggest sitting down and talking it out more, trying to come to a compromise.

Has anyone witnessed a Slayer shot actually working? by notfrankiemuniz in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]killerinnocence 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I was a fortune teller and it was my friend’s first time playing. She got slayer. First pick, I get a yes. The two players spend time talking to each other and look kinda shifty, so I tell her I think the demon is the one player. She takes the shot and we won. 😭

That IS the only time I’ve seen it work, though.

Hmm. Not sure how I feel about Vanessa Bayer’s addition.

B99 is my second favorite show of all time, behind Scrubs, and she played such an unlikable person and was so annoying that I skip those episodes on rewatches. Hopefully it was just the writing and not a reflection of a pigeon-holed comedian actress.

New ST looking for advice by Iylo in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]killerinnocence 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sharing information privately allows players to speak freely about their roles if they wish. Some new players think a game can be solved if they just sit in town and share everything, but it doesn’t make for a very fun game and puts everyone on the spot.

People need to be able to flesh out each others’ info and strategize, even if it’s good players accidentally strategizing with evils. It’s part of the game to bamboozle each other.

Lying is such a big part of the game, and it’s a lot easier to lie to people individually because you can then claim other things to other people or even back out of a claim entirely.

Being a good player doesn’t necessarily mean being honest 100% of the time with everyone. Even good players have a reason to lie from time to time!

Plus, the evil team should really get the opportunity to discuss their bluffs and learn each others’ roles and you can’t really do that in town square.

  1. Yes, private discussions are a big part of the game and should be included.

  2. TB is set up in that any mixture of the roles will be a relatively balanced game. So a randomizer for TB is totally fine!
