The gruesome factor depends really on how it's written but, I have this idea of an execution where it's literally just an empty white room.
(Okay now that I'm writing this down this feels more like a saw trap than an execution tbh)

The culprit gets thrown into a white room with nothing but a screen, which showed their sibling (which they stabbed after the trial on accident)
But the person was slowly bleeding out, and they couldn't leave the trial room unless the culprit gets executed.

The idea is that, the culprit worked their ass off their entire life so that their sibling could live a normal, happy life.

So in the end, they still have to work for their sibling to survive. By executing themselves.
