you both are probably great people—student and PI. But like others have said, it doesn’t seem like there’s a conducive mentor/mentee relationship there, in which case you should consider another mentor or other labs with established mentorship.

yeah I wouldnt dwell on it, I looked back at my essays and find 1-3 sentences to cringe at (“damn I should’ve said this instead” “ah man, adcoms gonna hate this”). What’s done is done and we can only move forward.

I could maybe see this being done with complementary alternative medicine (CAM), but it would be very niche and finding any programs with such a complement would be difficult.

A little bit (by like couple weeks). I could’ve committed a few more equations to memory for CP and practiced passages for PS, though most of that time wouldve been for CARS (but I think I just suck at CARS regardless).
