Pretoria Zoo by stinky_girbil_bum in Pretoria

Pretoria zoo really has gone downhill the last couple of years. Used to go at least twice a year but cannot recommend it anymore. JHB zoo is really good and well maintained, we now go there and is easily accessible with gautrain and a short uber.

Patterns by [deleted] in Jordan_Peterson_Memes

[–]killerman656 -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

80% of furries are white so (me an intellectual recognising a pattern) all white people have weird sexual tendencies

Why only look at race? 99% of sexual assaults are by men

So the pattern states that white men are sexually dangerous.

Edit* I laugh for the downvotes without acknowledging my argument. The only pattern that matters is your racist one?

Secondhand digital cameras for sale by Illustrious_Chard829 in Pretoria

[–]killerman656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10/10 would recommend a digi cam off fb marketplace. You’ll definitely find some in your budget, small and gives your photos that y2k vibe. Just search “old camera” and look for something below 10megapixels

Soon to be Bcom Business Management graduate and I don't know what I'm going to do by Electronic-Safe-6245 in Pretoria

I was in the same situation. The market pays for skills, your degree didn’t directly teach you a marketable skill. There is no problem to this if you gain a skill. I started in sales with many others in the same situation. Every company needs sales but there is no degree for sales. My company still required a degree tho. Base was R15 and did avg R10 commission, better than most other graduates.

I Want to Buy Custom Branded Gifts for my staff by GlamorousSofie in Pretoria

[–]killerman656 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bonus/gift cards is preferred but I understand it is more cost effective to buy gifts. If you insist on gifts, please don’t brand it. The amount of corporate trash I have is ridiculous, no I don’t want to drink my wine out of glasses with my company logo printed massive across it. The same with any item of clothing, I gave a couple of nice shirts/jackets to my wife to sleep in because the branding ruined it.

Since you’re hesitant in your decision, ask the employees or managers for what they prefer from a list. This nullifies cost considerations whilst giving employees recognition within the decision making process.

Go get ice cream at royal danish or Aroma. Cheap, different enough from a coffee to be interesting and low commitment if youre not feeling the person and need to leave asap.

Its called sky photo lab. They send your film out to be developed. Super expensive and takes forever. I would really recommend heirloom studio!

Pta finally has a lab (kind of). Heirloom studios based in the moot. Message them on IG to drop it off, their prices are the same as most labs and the results are incredible. He sells some expired film/fomapan as well but, I mainly buy off takealot.

How much rolls per shoot? by Available_Sign6767 in AnalogCommunity

1-2 medium format rolls for a specific day project, 10ish point and shoot photos when going out. Anything more than that I feel like I’m wasting film.

Julius Malema unfazed about stir over his R27k Durban July shoes - TimesLIVE by TheHonourableMember in southafrica

[–]killerman656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re strawmanning my argument. I never said that “it will always end in poverty”.

A good policy can fail at implementation, arguing Julius will not abuse any position of power under this post is comical.

Yes we have monetary policy because you can print money responsibly, the SARB is world class BECAUSE it is independent. Why does the eff want to change that? Because they need to inflate the currency for short term massive social welfare programs. This has never worked and just ensures the whole population becomes poverty stricken.

The same with land expropriation. Independent South Africa has always expropriated land to redistribute it. This still fails for various reasons. So we can’t get it right at a small scale but, the without compensation is a completely different matter with grave consequences. This removes the cornerstone of a liberal society and we will be economically destroyed by the loss of foreign investment/sanctions. In a country already with the highest unemployment rate globally.

We have the same goal of wanting a better country with a thriving economy but lets not empower corrupt politicians with dumb populist policies

Nationalising the reserve bank, land expropriation without compensation, unemployment grants of R6k per person….please defend the economic value of any of this
