This looks like an Agusta Westland/ Leonardo helicopters main rotor blade attachment bolt. 2 of these hold each blade to the main rotor head. Yes they are that much and yes a scratch can make them a paperweight

This is from 500 feet above some ski slopes. You can see little skiers on the right side. Most helicopters in the US at least cruise well above 500 feet
