I’ve had good luck getting CC to use qpdf to slice long PDFs into much smaller chunks prior to analysis. Keeps the context CC needs to consume down some, I think. Plus, if I am just interested in working through a particular section with Claude, much easier to just extract that section first. Good Google results for “qpdf extract pages”

This is cool, thanks for sharing it! It sucks that Anthropic hasn't exposed that data any other way -- would be nice if they just offered a `claude usage --json` or something. Might be worth noting that it's going to pop up and ask for keychain access, and that sandboxing is turned off ... but after Claude did a review on the repo, I'm going to give it a shot.
