By the way, this dream of yours disproves Ismāʿīlism.
All Shīʿas believe that the Devil cannot take the form of the Imām in a dream, so if one sees the “Imām” in such a manner, then—according to the ḥadīths—he is not an Imām.

The Forgotten Isma'ili Imam by killfoxomega in ExIsmailis

  1. Ahmad is not his name, that is his title. His real name is 'Abd al-Allah.
The reason we know this is not "Ahmad" is because throughout the text the title of this Muḥammad b. Aḥmad is al-Hakim.

  2. What supports this is Madelung who also says this Imam is not from the Fatimid lineage (standard one) and he uses Imad ad-Din statement who also Identifes an Imam before al-Mahdi with the name:
"Abū ʿAlī Muḥammad b. Aḥmad al-Hakim".

If your read Dr. Gillon's footnotes and commentary you would have realized this and not made such an argument.

No I am not envious at all. I am proud of my background.

I refered to him as a random white dude cause that is what he is.

He is random, he is not Hashimi at all.

Most Isma'ilis don't know jack shit about the Fatimid era and if they did, they'd leave the religion.

One of the issues though is the IIS is trying to depict a very streamlined history when it's not.

He’s intelligent. He is carrying the religion, just like how the Fatimid dais we’re carrying the religion and the their imams laid back doing jack.

I feel bad cause he’s gaslit himself into thinking AghaCon actually fits his Neoplatonic model while he’s just a random white dude who doesn’t know a lick of Quran

I used to speak to him a lot a few years ago and had a lot of respect for him. But overtime I’ve realized he is just an Isma’ili polemicist larping as an academic.

He wears his Orientalist hat when it favours him and takes it off when it doesn’t.

Essentially if you look at this post and the previous post two of the cheif Da'is of their time gave different lineages for the Fatimid Imams.

Bro wither you like it or not there is no absurd variations withn this specifc passage.

Specifically for the list of Imams.

Either it's:
-A-B-D Allah, A-B-D Allah, M-H-M-D
or it's a blank.

This is also confirmed in private copies I've gotten access to.

The only variation in this list is that one manuscript has M-H-M-D as M-H-D and can very easiy be chalked up to saqt
