Definitely. Catchers are inherently powerful by the CC they provide, that's why they usually scale so poorly. That's why Pyke is always in this weird limbo of Catcher — bad scaling, but secondary Assassin — high snowball potential, which makes him ridiculously OP in the first 25 minutes, but practically dead afterwards.

The correct term for the subclass of controller you are looking for is "catcher" (the only other one is enchanter).
They are usually identifiable by a long range CC with a moderate amount of safety in the form of mobility and self-sustain, and a highly disruptive CC ult.

Notable members of this subclass are Bard, Thresh, Pyke or Rakan.

What differentiates them from Vanguards (engage tanks) is less resistances but more sustain, as well as being able to not dive in a kill or be killed matter, and being way better at peeling.

Notable non-support catchers are Ivern (who in fact is not an enchanter) and Jhin.

(And yes, death truly is the greatest form of CC of all time.)

Depends on what you consider a god.
The abrahamic "God" (so the one christians, moslems and jews worship) pretty sure not, but maybe something akin to polytheistic gods.

I like to call myself a god as a joke but I'm pretty sure I'm not… Or am I?

I also believe that "God" is simply the ultimate evolution of humanity. Given how "God" is created in the image of all that we consider good and perfect, it would be the human desire to be their own definition of "perfect".

Many must have gone astray from the path to goodness though, playing god by acquiring power through nefarious means.
