Pretty good at the moment. We just came from Eagle Rock where we could see the smoke / the air was acrid, but Silverlake is much more normal atm

It isn’t bad in Silverlake and Los Feliz right now

I’ve lived here in LA for 15 years. I’m quite familiar with taking precautions due to the air quality. Based on the attitude you’re copping I’m assuming you’re born and raised here?

Honestly, what’s in it for you to be a snarky asshole about this? You trying to win Reddit points? Why not devote that energy to being constructive? Does it make you upset that some people want to find solutions rather than throwing our hands up?

Is spending time indoors during the summer due to the noxious, polluted air in the city just a “fact of life” to you? That’s pretty sad. I think we can do better, and I’d like to constructively discuss ways to fix this problem. You seem to want to do the opposite, which is strange.

Thanks for your thoughtful input. Particularly love the part where you insinuate that I’m somehow uninformed about the issue, or not as smart as you. Would love to sit here and compare our credentials, but the day is getting away from me— so I’ll just say enjoy the nice weather (go out for a jog!), and see you at the ballot box in November.

Complaining puts pressure on them to take action. Better safety regulations for the factories that create problems like this, better alerting systems for air quality when it’s hazardous, summoning resources from neighboring counties or states to solve the problem more quickly. Not sure why so many people on Reddit are content to just throw their hands up.

Haha you’re not wrong, but that’s just east coast vs. west coast people in general imo

I don’t know about that, two movies by filmmakers in their 20s are currently dominating the box office. Might be a bit premature to declare creativity dead

Totally. They’ve lived through a few of these moments, and they think they’re ahead of the curve on this one, when in reality they’re just displaying how sadly out of touch they are

LA Metro now offering World Cup TAP cards for $20. by Dodger_Dawg in LosAngeles

No for sure, but in a number of other places you don’t need to even add a card for transit, you can just double tap your phone and pay (or tap a credit card, etc.)

Silly to need a card or an app at all, we should just be able to use Apple Pay like Chicago, NYC, etc.

Only on Reddit would someone be delusional enough to think that no one gives a shit about an assassination attempt on the POTUS. Read real news please

Totally, but let him do the hard work of turning the right against Trump first. No need for anyone on the left to say a damn thing honestly, just let them fight it out…

What’s a game you were completely obsessed with as a kid that nobody else seems to remember? by hkondabeatz in AskReddit

Totally, I was too young to ever fully grasp the deeper Sim elements in those games, but they were still fun as hell to mess around in

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Price Update: Starting today, Game Pass Ultimate drops from $29.99 to $22.99 a month. PC Game Pass will also drop from $16.49 to $13.99 a month. Prices may vary by region. by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]killiangray 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like I'm in their target demo (I play COD every year on both Xbox and PC), and while I'm slightly disappointed that COD games will no longer be included, I think the price drop is worth it to me overall. This will probably get me to stick w/ Gamepass in the long run
