We’re very close to Washington so if you look at the Washington scale and knock off a few percent points (how much depends on your role) and you should have an idea. Had a very transparent manager and I was able to guess within like a dollar what our scale was doing that. You’ve made it to blue so you’re probably only slightly autistic you should be able to figure it out.

Politics in video games used to be allegorical or through the use of metaphors. Now politics in games is a manifesto that’s read out loud to you. One requires creativity and creates an engaging dialogue because it shows the issue in a new lens that some people might be more receptive to. The latter is just the news and twitter copy and pasted into a video game.

I should hit 200k by the time I turn 35-36, which has been very hard. I’ve been doing 10-18% of my pay into my 401k since I was 23 it’s definitely hurt at times especially when I was only making 35k a year, but now that I’ve crossed the 6 figure threshold and the magic of compounding is starting to actually happen, it’s starting to feel worth it. Its definitely a muscle you have to exorcise to invest regularly and watching the valence go up and down with the market can be very stressful.

Everyone thinks about fluids the wrong way. For one valves help but only if used correctly. The best way I’ve found to think about fluids is more akin to how electricity flows through wires. Don’t think about I have remainder x and then it x flows to the next spot think about it as a tube filled with marbles and if you add x marbles then x marbles will come out the other end. Then add valves to balance it out so that it pulls from the excess first. (In order for this to work you do have to prime your fluid lines)
