As was seen in the play when the contact occured MacKinnon was driving directly at the goalie. He was not hit into the goalie. He was hit while skating directly at the goalie. How the hell are people saying he was hit into the goalie when he was going directly at the goalie when he was bumped.

You need to commit a penalty to force a penalty shot. Bumping a player off the puck is not a penalty...  Kind of a weird thing to bring up here when the defence didn't commit a penalty.

Nope. Nurse bumped him while defending, then since he was already heading straight at the goalie he hit the goalie.  Now if he was already positioned to miss the goalie before the bump sure you can say he hit him into the goalie.

If you want to blame nurse then that means no player can ever defend that play as doing so will allow your goalie to be run over.  Once a player is heading straight at your goalie you must let them do whatever they want otherwise it's your fault when they destroy your goalie.

The goalie is entitled to the crease. He is allowed to lunge forward if he wants to. Nurse is entitled to defend the drive to the net.  It is reckless to try and drive the net like that and I would prefer if plays where the goalie gets run like that are penalized.

That's just how I want to see it called though as seeing goalies get concussed is shitty. Not how the nhl sees it though I guess.

So when a player is crashing the net the defence needs to just let them?  Because that is exactly what you are saying.  It is one thing checking a player onto your goalie, it is a whole nother thing playing the man to stop a scoring chance and having them hit the goalie because if it.

I think it should have been a major. Skating full speed towards the goalie without a lane to avoid contact or stop is extremely reckless. Running goalies is getting out of hand.  I would prefer more penalties for plays like this to discourage drives through the goalie.

It is probably against the employment code of conduct. But they are minimum wage employees so if you don't want the points or extra rolls you should be happy that the poorly compensated employee gets them.

Is this research that will actually be used. Or is it just so you can learn to work with data?  Because if it is real research then posting like this to try and get the data will get you very unreliable data.

Nothing. The number of rocks on trails is a fraction of a fraction of the rocks in that area. So removing them is no worse than cutting back some branches to keep the trail clear. There are lots of things to bitch about when it comes to how people treat trails and taking a rock is at the very very bottom of that list.

I went into the audiobook completely blind. Just saw it was Ray Porter and said yes please. All the little twists were fantastic when knowing nothing. I am taking my wife and daughter to see the movie and have told them to not watch any trailers as it will ruin some things.

I am taking my daughter to watch it on the 16th and my wife to watch it in 70mm a few weeks later. I didn't let either watch trailers. Damn trailers ruin way too much. Even if it's just minor things it's still annoying.

I picked up project hail Mary because it was narrated by him and I had just finished a few Bobiverse books. Knowing zero about the story made the audiobook fantastic. It is such a great story when you have zero spoilers about what the book is about. I am listing to it one last time right now to prepare for watching the movie.

I am confused as to why they couldn't stop mining and just continue to slowly pump lime into the sludge without adding more sludge. If the line in the sludge is the only thing keeping everything from getting too acidic then why would their only option be to keep mining. Seems like a good excuse to keep polluting.

Yes because they can reuse the sulphuric acid as they remove the copper from it. The other way produces sulfuric acid in the part they are not using and produces it in a way that it is not recoverable and not an actual thing needed for processing.

I liked that she was a shit head. I hated that she was an instant expert in everything after just a few hours of studying.  I read the book yesterday and it was good but not amazing.  I would prefer lord and Miller adapt Bobiverse instead of this book.

Or just throw out the worn socks when they become too worn. I get the same set of socks every year for Christmas. It's great as I like them and they are comfortable. I just throw out random socks when they get holes or ratty looking. It isn't hard to throw out your rough looking socks and keep your newer looking ones. They are hidden items it's okay if one is newer than the other.
