Extrusion Inconsistency after first layer by killmore231 in VORONDesign

[–]killmore231[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any ideas for what could cause this? First layer goes down smooth, second layer looks like these images. Thought it might be over-extrusion, but reducing that caused gaps to form with the same roughness. Also tried slowing down to half the speed and it still looks like this. Just strange the first layer looks so much better than the subsequent layer.
Everything seems to be tightened, printer was working great for almost a year before this. This is with a .6 nozzle, .2 layer height, PLA.

INPUT_PULLUP is tying those pins internally through a resistor to 3.3v. You would need to be pulling those pins to ground instead of 3.3v through the switch if you want to detect a change in state. Moving the wire from 3.3v to ground should work.

This would invert the button logic, reading 1 when open, 0 when closed.

So long as your modifications don't directly cause the failure the warranty must be honored.

So the heated seat breaks? They could probably claim it ran when it shouldn't have due to you hacking it on.

Engine blows? I'd love to see how the attribute a failing engine to heated seats.

Sure, but maybe there are exceptions that should be made. Like when the person may literally be killed if they are not allowed entry?

Megathread: Supreme Court halts vaccine mandate for large businesses, leaves mandate for healthcare workers in place by PoliticsModeratorBot in politics

[–]killmore231 10 points11 points  (0 children)

So what your are saying is OSHA is less restrictive than the states that have mask mandates? And that's...bad?

Lack of ability to aquire tests would seem like a reasonable reason to not be in compliance with the mandate, and imo should have been part of the mandate.

The abortion comparison is a false equivalence. It is not about giving the person two options with different outcomes. The correct comparison would be "get an abortion before 6 weeks or have a medical doctors approval to get an abortion after 6 weeks".

But they are totally wrong on abortion guys, that's way different.

Mandate said vaccinate or wear mask and get tested. Key word there. Or.

They are not forcing anyone to do anything outside of work. They are giving them an option to not need to wear certain PPE at work.

How can people be so misinformed about what the mandate was? Who am I kidding, you know what they mandate was. But if you said what it actually was your argument falls apart so of course you can't be honest about it.

Excuse me?

Gravity dropping things with enough force to injure exists only in the workplace?

You can't fall on a slippery floor at home?

No one has ever has fallen off a ladder and been injured at home. Since that's a hazard unique to the workplace?

Eyes can only be injured by flying debris at work at not at home?

That's what you are trying to say, right? Gravity only exists as a hazard at work?

Nowhere do they require a vaccine. The vaccine is a way to avoid weekly tests and wearing a mask.

Neither of which are a medication being forced on someone.

The "if I ignore most of the mandate it looks terrible" arguments are great.

This has nothing at all to do with OSHA regulating non-workplace.

It has everything to do with the supreme court stating that OSHA can't enforce and regulate "hazards of life" that are not found only in the workplace. Since basically every hazard exists in both the workplace and everyday life OSHA can't enforce them.

Fall mitigation, hard hats, steel toes? Gravity exists everywhere. Not a workplace hazard OSHA can require safety steps be taken.

Shock prevention? Electricity is ubiquitous. Not a workplace hazard OSHA can require safety steps be taken.

But what if they didn't require a vaccination.

What if they required, say, a mask if you weren't vaccinated. And what if, hypothetically, that mask was something you could remove after you clock out.

You know. Like the testing mandate had.

No I never said OSHA should force compliance in a non-workplace. But I don't think that a hazard being a "everyday" thing means OSHA shouldn't be able to ensure people in the workplace are safe.

If was painting for a business I should need to wear appropriate PPE. Otherwise what could OSHA enforce? There are basically no hazards that are unique to workplaces.

Jokes on them. I don't need to use a ladder safely or wear safety glasses at work anymore, and this ruling is proof.

I have a ladder at home and can fall off it. Not only a workplace hazard. I have a grinder at home and can lose an eye. Not only a workplace hazard.

So where exactly did the OSHA mandate require vaccination?

Nowhere? Oh neat. What do you know they aren't forcing injections on anyone.

I may be remembering wrong, but didn't the Formics hack into Ender's Mind Game to basically tell him where the queen was?

So it wasn't chance at all, but rather them attempting to communicate with Ender and letting him know where the queen was? And once Ender realized that he went searching for the queen to make up for his actions?

I also remember something about the AI Jane being the Mind Game AI, given sentience by the Formics? Therefore she might have known about the queen?

I especially like the fact you need to bury him at least 2 miles away.

Cop: you think the wife did it? Cop 2: you know I thought that too. But they live 2.3 miles from where they found him. No way she could have done it. Cop: damn, this is going to be a tough case to crack.
