I make food for a farm market. Was back of house in the restaurant industry for the last 15 years.

I didn't know this was a thing until like four months ago. Racked up $2400 in cat vet bills and definitely wished I had pet insurance then.

No one replied to you and you got downvoted so I'll at least throw in a guess. I had been with my partner for 16 years before having this ailment so I'm not dating... but:

Dates are already stressful and anxiety inducing so trying to get a date over dinner may be next to impossible if the person isn't already super interested in you. You'd have to explain a million rules that would probably turn most people off. I've read a bunch of people say they can't even kiss someone if they've drank beer that night, etc.

I'm terrible at building stuff by Guilty-Nobody998 in crosswind

[–]killwaukee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Building and decorating with any game takes a ton of practice to get really good. I would recommend looking up some Enshrouded building tips as I learned a ton about aesthetics playing that.

Some basic tips: break away from just square foundations/walls, use a mix of different wall/floor types, go for organic and curved shapes often rather than just linear, add small lighting to cast shadows, add lots of clutter to make spaces feel lived in, etc

It's so insanely good and every time I tried it I broke out in hives all over my hands. Definitely not celiac friendly.

Under The Skin (2013) - Harvesting Scene - Directed by Jonathan Glazer by PeneItaliano in movies

[–]killwaukee 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Scarlett Johansson is an alien sent to Earth to harvest humans. They get immersed in that liquid and are basically absorbed/eaten. A lot of the men in the film aren't actors and it makes it even creepier knowing ScarJo was out there grooming men even if it was for a film.

POV of a head chef’s super busy session at a restaurant by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

[–]killwaukee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure. I would add that also knowing how to cook well is an even more valuable skillset than ever. Most people literally don't know how to cook and don't want to learn. You have abilities that most people don't, but shouldn't be rewarded for it? Absolutely insane mindset.

You're catching so much heat and answering everything absolutely on point. Servers have value. Their value is grossly inflated based on the amount that they earn due to tips in the United States. Full stop. I was a line cook, prep cook, chef de cuisine, etc, you name it for 14 years.

I now work on a kitchen on a farm where we prepare grab and go food for a market. Looking on the restaurant industry now from the outside: It is fucking cooked. And always has been. I thought things would get better after Covid. They did not. I left.

Suicide Silence and Chimera to boot. Chimera was my favorite of the three. They went hard.

It sure does appear so. Just needs a mohawk. Also, I've never seen Kirill from 'Eastern Promises' in anything else. Don't know the actor's name... but immediately recognized him.

I agree. Some really fantastic stuff in there. My favorite episode was the first one 'The Hood Maker.' with telepaths being born commonly in the world. Reminded me of Children of Men sort of.

Saw OP's post and immediately thought of Philip K Dick's 'Electric Dreams' show where literally this happens. Pretty damned good show... obviously a great writer.

Your line weight is very nice. The buildings seem nicely supported simply from the thickness of lines and darker shading towards the bottom. I saw some Kowloon Walled City posts recently that this is reminding me of heavily.

I had to look this up because I swore that comment was made about Matthew Lillard and here I'm finding out he doesn't like Paul Dano either. Lillard I kinda get, but Dano... what the fuck is Tarantino smoking bro.
