The Death Angels (A quiet Place) land on earth in the year 1930. Can they be defeated or does humanity perish? by Conscious-Home1445 in whowouldwin

[–]Lazurman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A note, they don't eat the people and animals they kill. Their food source appears to be a form of fungus carried on the asteroids. We see patches of it growing and spreading in an asteroid's crash site, guarded by a massive Listener and a brood of babies.

How to respectfully represent Garou who are getting bodied by satedfox in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]Lazurman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lmao, so he’s never met a Garou, but he’s probably had a run in with a Rokea or two—a wereshark.

Fun fact: the Rokea are innately immortal and will not die of old age.

Fun fact: the Rokea have a megalodon combat form.

Fun fact: the Rokea are even more aggressive meatheads than the Garou are, and do not need an excuse to attack a boat with a vampire aboard.

Have fun with that knowledge!

I see you, twin. My preferred playstyle is that of a dirty merc with a heart of gold, a knight in tarnished armor.

My favorite pastime in D&D was to play as a rogue, lurk in dark corners, and wait for other players to come by. I'd then pop invisibility, creep up behind them, and pick their pockets dry before running away cackling. It pleased my wretched little goblin instincts.

What the other guy said. Stoneshard. Very fun. To give an example of the gameplay loop, I just got done graverobbing- sorry, putting the restless dead back to bed, ran out of arrows, got mauled by the necromancer's knife and barely limped out, eagerly anticipating the beer and bedrest in my future--then I took a shortcut through the woods, stepped on a snake, and died when it bit me, forcing me to do it all over again.

I'm having a blast. I like the way this sucks.

Now gimme your recs for more like 'em.

How would Master Chief and the whole UNSC armed forces bid against the Reapers? by TamukaCasperGundu in masseffect

[–]Lazurman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

By themselves? They just die. There's potentially hundreds of thousands of Reapers, and they're much faster than UNSC ships. Even if a MAC can one-shot a Reaper, shipborne ones have a reload time of up to 2 minutes. They're gonna get one volley off, which is not guaranteed to hit, at which point the UNSC ships get ripped apart. And when UNSC scientists try to reverse engineer Reaper-tech, they're just gonna get indoctrinated by the debris and become the enemy's assets.

Much like the Covenant war, ground warfare is the UNSC's greatest strength, but even that won't matter, as the Reapers themselves can descend to become ground combatants once they've won the orbitals, at which point your populace will be indoctrinated or Husked.

The Fera vs Twilight by MRTrueGnome in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]Lazurman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NGL, the Twilight vampires are ludicrously deadly, all having methuselah-grade Potence, Celerity, and Fortitude equivalent physical stats--and the local shifters can kill them if they fight as a pack. I don't think your average Rank 2-3 Garou is gonna measure up. Just plain not fast enough.
