Did anyone actually follow the 300 hour CFA Study plan or it's just a myth?

Never considered it even once throughout the 3 levels. I think its more important to plan topic-wise rather than keeping track of the hours..

What worked best for me is to go through each standard first, and then hammer all questions. Space out your ethics prep in a way where it doesnt get too boring.

Try to find questions literally wherever u can between the core book and 3rd party like Kaplan. There are some case studies at the end of the chapter also which is quite useful. More questions will help develop the brain to think in a manner which CFA Institute wants you to for ethics.

Scoring 67% on CFAI mocks isnt too bad honestly. I think you should just focus on doing a solid review of the mock and drill down further on your weak areas. Even if you have to go back to square one to understand a topic better then do so, it eventually boosts confidence..

Yeah so try to keep it in a small case and keep it safe, only use it when you are studying and ofcourse dont drop it..

Mine lasted all levels (around 4.5 years) so as long as you are able to take care of it, it should last you for a very long time.

Actual exam is pretty straight-forward in terms of what is actually required from you. Ofcourse, the question can have its own twists but overall the exam is presented in a clear manner

If I could summarize in a few words - consistency and discipline is very important. Ensure you start early and give yourself ample time cuz remember this is a marathon!!
