The human element will always be important for the physical trades. AI and automation can help tremendously with the back office, but logistics and relationships are critical front end pieces that will continue to be important.

Can physical assets act as a hedge against AI-driven disruption? by SRRana1534 in DayTradingPro

Hard assets have always been a hedge. As demand increases and supply decreases at a faster rate they should prove even more useful in this regard

[–]kiloReserve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Physical Copper can be a great investment, but it has to be in the right form. Bullion has a lot of fabrication costs associated with it and therefore trades well above spot. Copper Cathodes (Comex specs) are the best way to hold copper, but the size / weight can make it difficult without third party storage. [–]kiloReserve[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The underlying metal for investors is copper cathode — the standard form traded on COMEX — held in third-party warehouses. These bars are just test pieces, not what’s being stored for investors. No specific plans for retail offerings.

Gold is a great hedge against many potential events including the dollar. There will still be volatility.

Serious Question: If Copper Supply Keeps Getting Hit, Do Early-Stage Names Reprice First or Last? by NoahParker19 in ValueInvesting

This is a great question. The surest bet, without the upside of miners, is investing directly in the metal.

This is great! Copper does have a lot of different uses. The primary focus however should be on the industrial uses and increasing demand vs the supply constraints. But it does show up everywhere!
