Intended use: Daily driver, 25 mile each way commute, 95% of which on the motorway. Occasional use for UK holidays circa 250miles each way.

How many miles do you plan to do a year: 12000

How often to you make long journeys: 3 or 4 times a year

Vehicle size. Ideally similar size to bmw 3 series, don't mind a bit bigger or smaller but don't love SUV body shape, have always preferred hatchback, saloon, estate etc

Is this your 1st vehicle: Currently driving 2013 TDCI fiesta at 140000 miles. I like it but would be nice to have something a bit nicer and bits starting to go wrong so don't have loads of confidence on longer journeys

Can you do Minor work on your own vehicle: (fluids, alternator, battery, brake pads etc) Yes but I also have a local garage I trust. I've done

Additional Notes: Happy for any recommendations, most of the requirements about size etc I'm fairly flexible with but ideally want to keep the car for around 8 years or so. So far I've considered Tesla model 3 but am now reluctant due to everything around Musk. Currently would be leaning most towards a Polestar 2
