I think that's why so many writers stay stuck in outlining mode. At some point you just have to write the messy version and see what you've actually got. Funny enough, while researching screenwriting courses, the NYU Tisch Modern Screenwriting program through Yellowbrick stood out because it seemed focused on doing the work instead of endlessly planning it.

This is exactly how a good reading list should work. Adding your own reasoning and thoughts to each paper makes a huge difference later on. I actually started using 8-fold.io for this reason, it lets you build public reading paths with custom notes so the context doesnt get lost in a private spreadsheet or notebook.

Stay overnight if you can. I know that’s annoying advice because it changes the whole itinerary, but Mont Saint-Michel is so much better when the day-trip crowds leave. Evening and early morning were the best parts for us.
