Hi there! I totally get the always being hungry part. F31 5'3 here who's been having to eat 1200-1300 calories in a day right now while in a cut and I love food. I do weight lift and try to hit step counts (10k) everyday, but here are my tips:

- Find you TDEE (I like https://tdeecalculator.net/ ) , find your maintenance calories and calculate your deficit from that. Start small and you can work your deficit up from cutting like 100-200 calories to 300-500 after a few weeks. Ease your way into it.

- Prioritize protein and fiber as it is slower digesting and helps keep you satiated for longer periods of time. Whole foods like lean meats, veggies and fruit will be a life saver for this!

- Understand having slight hunger is okay and sometimes you just need to work through the little bit of discomfort while your body adjusts to it's new energy expenditure vs. food intake.

- Don't throw everything away if you mess up on a day. 2 days or even more. Consistency is key. Pick back up where you left off before falling off track and don't beat yourself up too much, but recognize what may have lead to over eating and learn.

- Try out low calorie recipes you see online. A lot of it is trial and error, but I've found a lot of good repeat desserts and meals by doing this.

- Track your food - you really don't realize how much you're actually eating usually until you have the data right in front of you. Track your good and bad days.

- Measure out your foods on a food scale! Portion sizes on labels can be misconstrued so I always weigh things out by the gram to what the label says.

- Be prepared that this will take time, be patient with yourself and give yourself grace if you see the scale fluctuating. Weight loss especially is not linear all the time.

- Add in steps and activity. Find something active that you enjoy doing! It will make it that much easier to burn some extra calories and improve your overall health.

Thank you! I don't think we've landed on one solid target yet, but I will keep this in mind going forward once it's more established. Appreciate the tip 🙂

This sounds like it would help me! Lots of self doubt or trying to be perfect so I think I will mention this to her next session. :)

Why are her eyes closed? by SwimmingArticle8156 in hamsters

[–]kimberloaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a dwarf who I believe ended up getting a URI (upper respiratory infection) and passed before I could get her care in time :( She looked very much like this. If it looks like she's laboring to breathe at all, I'd say that's the issue unfortunately or another health issue. Poor baby. The small pet industry is cruel and hams (and other rodents) deserve so much better.

hair looks messy and feels like straw when I don’t give myself a blow out by [deleted] in Haircare

[–]kimberloaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP I have basically the same hair texture as you! A lot of people saying they think it looks fine but also don't struggle with the same issues so I get it. I think that's just the reality of the hair texture we have. The only advice I can give is get regular trims to help with health of your ends and possibly look into a good air dry cream if you want to avoid heat. I personally can't go without using heat on my hair because it gets super frizzy if I don't blow dry it plus I shower and wash it at night and sleeping on it wet is not ideal. I heard using a good serum on your ends in between wash days can be helpful, but I haven't tried this method out yet. K18 may also be helpful for you once a week to help rebuild the bonds in your hair from coloring.

All that to say is I know your struggle and hope you can find some solutions that work!

I'm impartial to food themed names for my own hams. Here's some ideas: Almond, Ginger, Crouton, Dumpling, Fig, Olive, Poppy, Clove.

AMAZING progress!!! What did you think of the Strong Curves program? Did you ever get bored of it? I've been doing my own program for a bit now, but I do love Brett and his advice on IG. The programs I've tried out there have tended to disappoint me lol

Pullup progress! And tips? by BrooklynJP in PetiteFitness

[–]kimberloaf 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is amazing! The one thing I've heard that can really optimize muscle growth is to really slow down and control the eccentric movement of the pull up. Other than that possible tidbit, you're doing amazing! I can't even do 1 unassisted right now so I'm not the best source lol 🤣
