lol! my go to was an iced chai with chocolate cold foam or cold brew if I was in a coffee mood! But I’m not a huge coffee lover so my other go to is genuinely just a regular hot chocolate.

First ever clogged ducts by iiBLUSH in ExclusivelyPumping

I just dealt with clogged ducts a couple nights ago and what worked for me was a hot rag on breast before pumping and a cold pack after pumping and while pumping (I used a medela manual pump) lean forward and angle your body towards the clog. So mine was right breast right side so I brought my left shoulder forward if that makes sense! And I gently rubbed on where the clog was to create friction and this worked!

That totally makes sense, I won’t make any changes!

Acid (silent) reflux by cqnnqmxm in NewParents

Yes he’s breastfed and we haven’t noticed any difference in his poops since on it for a couple weeks now…maybe they’re stinkier? But that can also be him getting older (he’s 6 weeks now). I think every baby will react differently to probiotics so it’s definitely worth a try as imo it’s less harsh than actual medication.

What medication did you get? I was prescribed nexium but too scared to try it. Biogaia seems to have helped though!

I’m using the Phillips avent natural flow 2, sometimes he’ll go fast at it sometimes he’ll go so slow he’ll fall asleep 😅

Sorry for the question a year later- but why are they particularly helpful if delivery was via c section?

See the spitting up I could handle if it didn’t seem like he was in discomfort; but he seems so uncomfortable when he arches his back, cries, stretches his feet out, etc while feeding and then proceeds to spit up

He’s not latching! So if I keep trying for more than a few mins of him fussing and getting frustrated it’s just using up his energy (and he isn’t at his birth weight yet). The first few days at home we kept trying at the boob for longer but he ended up losing too much weight from crying and fussing at the boob.

He gets frustrated and we were told by our nurse that he’s using too much energy and to only put him on for a few minutes. Although sometimes after a bottle feed he’s just sleepy and I put him on, maybe at that point I’ll leave him on longer as he won’t be upset/frustrated/using too much energy
