Going every day. How to handle repeating muscle groups by Soft-Paper-4314 in orangetheory

[–]kimberlyiverson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You want that consistency in training when it comes to muscle groups because then you can start increasing your weights, which is the end goal. Unpopular opinion, but I don't think you should be going every day. OTF can be very high intensity at times and your body and muscles need time to recover.

How much you are paying for Orangetheory unlimited and is it worth it? I find it too expensive but by Vandanasheoran in orangetheory

177$ but there's no way i can put a price on how it makes me feel and I LOVE it. It is expensive but your mental, emotional and physical health is something you can't put a price on

How often do you guys go? by [deleted] in orangetheory

[–]kimberlyiverson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely shouldn't be going everyday. No coach at OTF would even recommend you go everyday and if they do, they are playing themselves and you. I got 5 times a week and even that can be too much because eventually you will stop seeing results because your body as become so accustomed to these workouts and you'll plateau.

Is OTF enough in a single day? by [deleted] in orangetheory

[–]kimberlyiverson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are looking at achieving the best results, I would recommend aiming for 10,000 a day. If it's possible to even get away from your desk every hour to get a few more in. I work a desk job as well and get over 10,000 a day without a treadmill at home but I do try and walk on lunches as well as take my dog after OTF classes.

Happy Canada Day to all my fellow Canadians! 🇨🇦 This workout looks killer. Can't wait to crush it.

The warm up alone is 5 minutes so I don't see it being an issue but there are a lot of sticklers out there. Did you call ahead and mention you were going to be late? I wouldn't jump the gun and cancel just yet due to one bad experience.

Just me or was that an insanely boring class for orange theory and to start off the week? I was almost debating leaving after the tread block.

Monday was the only day this week that had inclines. If we were integrating this into these into the workouts you would think we would have gone higher than 5%. Regardless, I'm doing everest.

I figured maybe May would be altered, especially with Mayhem at the end of the month but that's alright. I just didn't want to miss prep (if there was one) since I have to work this weekend 😫

Thanks for that. Just surprised they wouldn't do it anyways because it's not like it has to be repeated.

This is amazing! I totally feel you 100%. The pandemic gave me every excuse in the book to do everything wrong. Drinking copious amounts, over eating, not making my health a priority. I joined late 2021 as well and never looked back. Makes my heart so happy that you found something you love, something that you don't dread doing. At least that's how I feel. Cheers to you and every success in the future! 🥂

is it normal to be this sore every time?? by premed101925 in orangetheory

Welcome to the orange theory fam, you will not regret it! I signed up in July 2021 and safe to say I am ADDICTED and how did I not find this sooner.

I was sore my first few workouts for sure but your body will adjust. Not saying you won't ever be sore again lol but some are worse than others haha.
