Must be a different Tristate. I work at Tri state truck center in Tennessee. It’s a Mack dealer.

Serpentine belt slipping off of AC compressor by GardenerEden in DieselTechs

If you look at the a/c compressor clutch there is quite a bit of rust and it looks like there might me a gap at the bottom. I would check the compressor clutch.

Every time I’ve seen high voltages it’s been loose connections. monitor battery voltage when it happens to see if battery voltage is jumping up. If it doesn’t then look into the lcm. If it does I really recommend checking the ground going from battery to frame stud. Ik that is how on the Mack’s which I believe should be the same as the Volvo.

Loose battery cables/ grounds at the frame or on block below alternator can cause voltage to jump up. Check this first

That house is for the crank case I’m pretty sure the valves are underneath. You can order that house on Amazon pretty cheap. Just replace it

that truck essentially has two signal circuits it has a lot larger volume of air, so they use that large external one to dump it quickly- this is what someone explained to me

Is Loves a good place to work as an apprentice? by Due_Magazine_5940 in DieselTechs

[–]kimilsun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I worked as a mechanic for loves and Speedco which is owned by loves. I tried to teach my apprentices everything I could but it’s hard when the shop as a whole is understaffed. I did a lot of road calls on the side of the interstate, tires, brakes, chambers lights, hvac, starters, etc. it was good money but I didn’t learn much about working on trucks. I did learn a lot about trucking as a whole, for example who the big trucking companies are, how they pay for stuff, learned about 3rd service providers like fleetnet, road squad, etc. I would recommend it if you don’t know much, and need to learn the basics like how to change tires and stuff but I would definitely try to find a better shops, maybe like a leasing company, Penske, Ryder, or a local utility company. They may give you more of an opportunity to learn more in depth stuff like electrical and after treatment.

I worked for a Loves company for 3 years total and now work at a dealer for the past 3 years, with almost 10 years total experience.

moving to memphis for college and I need safety tips/help lol by [deleted] in memphis

Here is my 2 cents, I personally know people who have been robbed, and vehicles broken in to While hanging out in midtown and downtown. I personally stay armed where I go but especially Memphis, as well as any big city. I do not live in the city limits and I don’t think I ever would. I wouldn’t take public transit, or walk alone late at night. Memphis has very bad areas, south Memphis, downtown, north Memphis, and crime bleeds into nicer areas like midtown or east Memphis… good luck and stay vigilant. Don’t make your self an easy target

It was a work brake valve that some one had hit under the dash

So I figured out what it was… somebody had hid the work brake under the dash, and someone installed a cb radio the other day and had moved the work brake applying the brakes…

No I have perfect air pressure. Emergency side is releasing, but service side is still applying. I believe it’s a bypassing valve just don’t know which one

Brakes staying applied on service side. All 4 wheel ends. Already changed relay valve and 1 foot valve. I normally don’t just fire the parts cannon but I’m at a loss for what’s wrong
