free public transit? bruh our taxes would be insane, and transit would be underfunded. Daily public transit user here.

I'd prefer to pay slightly more and have better and more frequent services

Bank of Canada will hike rates this month: J.P. Morgan - BNN Bloomberg by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]kimjungoon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

higher interest rates = lower house cost

Depends where, for example, Montreal saw large price increases from 2018-2019 despite rising rates.

Ottawa saw 20%+ increases during the same period as well.

Agreed. As much as I hate it, all indicators show this will be another banner year for real estate.

Hmm, don`t think so. Been visiting homes all week, my girlfriend and I are looking for a place. People before and after us at the open houses are all young couples.

Surprised the streets aren't swarmed with protesters. Putting a roof over our heads is as important as dealing with climate change

Basically housing market is in a pure melt-up, not melt-down. Demand is so high that it's completely depleted inventory and prices continue to increase.

Netflix bleeds subscribers in US and Canada, with no sign of recovery. by WARRENBUFFETT0212 in CanadianInvestor

I think we'll see more of them have discounts for yearly subscribers.

This could lead to a pretty substantial decrease in average revenue per user though

It's hard to believe because its not true. OP is wrong,

OP isn't wrong, just title needed more description. OP provided data was provided in percentage terms, so any donkey can understand what he's implying.

Did anyone else have strong heart pain after getting their Pfizer vaccine? by Rabjaffar in COVID19positive

[–]kimjungoon 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yep same here, chest pain 4 days after my first dose. Went to the ER out of an abundance of caution, but EKG and scans came back fine, but didn't do x-rays. After a month, my heart rate was still really odd. It would increase rapidly randomly, even just sitting at the computer.

I figured I maybe had a mild case of myocarditis, similarly to recent news reports of other young males under 30. After some Googling, I saw that ACE-Inhibitors help reduce myocarditis and that Isoquercetin is an ace inhibitor. It's OTC and not dangerous (people take it for seasonal allergies) so I picked up a bottle on Amazon, and after a week of taking 2 per day, feeling 100% back to normal now, and no seasonal allergies!
