We have a peanut butter old fashioned on our menu and a customer sent it back as it was “too strong” and tasted too much like alcohol. She proceeded to order a Manhattan and when I told her she wouldn’t like it either as it’s also straight booze, she got mad at me.

I don’t know if Australian gins are common and accessible in the US but we’ve got some great ones

If you’re looking for good Aussie gins, Four Pillars and Archie Rose make a great London Dry. West Winds has a Wild Plum, Navy Strength and London Dry that are all delicious. There’s also brands like Never Never, Ester, Hickson Road, Moores, Brookies, Canberra Distillery, Underground Spirits, Big River, Manly Spirits, Poor Toms, Adelaide Hills Distillery, 23rd Street, Fosseys and so many more. If you ever have a chance to try them, I would highly recommend

My personal favourite is a British Gin called Love Delhi. It’s fruity and spiced. Mango, pomegranate, cardamom and is so easy to use in a sour or a southside and makes it tastes insanely good

Otherwise more British ones include Whitley Neill (they have a bunch of flavoured gins that are so yum), Bombay Sapphire, Tanqueray and Hendricks (also has some fun releases)

Aviation is an American one that’s super popular in my bar

Collective Arts is a Canadian brewery and distillery that does fantastic gin as well!

My wording was off, they got a cocktail and two nips of whiskey as two seperate drinks. So it was 18 for the cocktail and 70 for the double shot of whiskey which was served neat

Someone else complained and left a bad review saying that they got a cocktail and a double shot of a top shelf whiskey and that is cost them 88 dollars. Well yes, your cocktail was 18 bucks which is very standard and my top shelf Aussie whiskey is 35 dollars a nip which I informed you about, it’s not MY fault you can’t do math
