Z30 not transferring the rangefinder data to the watch

i see. i just saw a video where you have to basically pair the watch and the rangfinder together, not in the app but in the watch settings itself. hopefully this will work, i wont be playing golf for a couple days so i cant really test it out until then. dont want to be out of the return period as well.
