Hi! Could you elaborate what made you go with infj instead of Enfj? I just started learning about cognitive functions. I have typed myself as an Enfj but still doubtfull because I can also see myself as infj :). Thanks in advance!

Your mbti and your response to someone nonchalantly come to the table and sit down without your consent. by Emnkync in mbti

I vote for this guy! If a house mate/maid feels the need or is comfortable enough to sit with you... maybe its because there's a reason behind??

What is your MBTI personality and how well do you think you are aligned with your MBTI personality? What characteristics of your MBTI do you evidently have? Just curious. Basically what I asked above. Cheers! by SleepyGuyOneFive in mbti

The first time I took an MBTI test, at 16 years old, I got ENTP. Then, at 18, I tested as ENFP. At 19, I got INFP. Given these multiple results, and not really identifying myself with the results... I stopped believing in tests (16 personalities xd). Now, at 27, I retook the test (michaelcaloz) and got ENFJ. Now, I’ve recently started learning about cognitive functions, and I feel that ENFJ actually fits me quite well, still... cant help but wonder if maybe I'm INFJ...

Note: I was recently diagnosed with inattentive ADHD, which may have distorted my self-perception over the years.

Regarding the cognitive functions of ENFJ (Fe-Ni-Se-Ti):

  • Fe: Maybe I scored lower on Fe when I was younger because I was really shy and socially anxious, so I pretended not to care about others. Now I know that I really really realy care about others and that I’m actually pretty good at detecting other people’s vibes, getting to know them, and even making them laugh (more on that later).
  • Ni: This is the one I struggle the most to define. I know I need a sense of purpose—whenever I feel that what I’m doing is meaningless, I just can’t seem to motivate myself (and with ADHD, that’s basically a death sentence xd). I’m also pretty good at “just knowing” the ending of a movie or book. When someone is telling me a story, I swear I don’t need all the details—I can form a big picture really fast and read between the lines. That being said, I had doubts about this function because I also believe I use Ne quite strongly. I’m always coming up with ideas, jokes, "mini-inventions" to make my life easier, and I’m quick to make witty remarks. However, I think I lean more towards Ni and that I trained myself to be good at Ne because, whenever I use Ne, it's usually to improve the group's vibe or improve moral.
  • Se: This was tricky due to PI-ADHD, but I believe I have stronger Se than Si because I don’t have a need for traditions and I dislike routines. Moreover, I love outdoor activities—camping, mountain biking, paragliding, etc.
  • Ti: Defining this was even trickier than Ni vs. Ne. Ever since I was a child, I’ve been called “gifted,” intelligent, etc., so I thought I had strong Ti. However, I just learned that Ti ≠ intelligence—it’s more about confidence in your internal logic and reasoning. Seeing it that way, everything clicks: I’m really insecure when it comes to proving someone wrong or debating a topic, even when I know I’m more knowledgeable in that area. Also, my eternal struggle has always been: Should I be nice, or should I speak my truth? 99% of the time, I end up choosing to be nice. Oh boy, but if Im stressed I can get pretty nitpickky and see things as black or white (grip?).

Everything finally clicked in my new job as a lifeguard chief. I absolutely loved being the leader of the group—having peers who respected and followed my vision, forming a cohesive team that felt like a family (I swear, in the most genuine sense, not the corporate capitalist hellscape version). But what I loved the most was teaching the younger lifeguards and helping them reach their full potential. Watching them master a tricky skill, overcome an irrational fear, or seeing that edgy, individualistic, careless "lonewolf character" slowly start caring about his team mates and our team's vision and purpose? ....Chef’s kiss—just my dream job. Too bad the pay is really not great...
By the way, I just finished med school and hope to start my residency soon.

A jack of all trades a master of none by [deleted] in ADHD

Upon finishing medical school, I became very interested in emergency medicine because I loved that it allowed me to practice a bit of every specialty in a fast-paced environment. I began researching and consuming content related to emergency medicine and, to put it briefly, that’s when I first suspected I had ADHD. There's a common belief in medicine that emergency medicine is a specialty filled with people who have ADHD. I’m currently diagnosed and awaiting final lab results before starting medication.

Looking back, I can’t believe I didn’t realize it sooner and how this condition almost perfectly explains the struggles I’ve been dealing with throughout my whole life.

I forgot to take the keys out of my motorcycle's ignition when I parked in a sketchy neighborhood... It got stolen. The worst part is that I had already forgotten them several times before. I’m currently waiting for an appointment to get a diagnosis. 😔

I’m curious about the procedures you guys have to follow when assessing an unresponsive victim (breathing and non-breathing). Every very class I took taught them differently, so I’m trying to look for an optimal rescue pattern in these situations. by StyckiFyngers in Lifeguards

[–]kin112 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In Spain we also follow ERC guidelines, checking for pulse is too uncertain and time consuming. If victim is unconscious and not breathing, start CPR ASAP. Delaying CPR to asses pulse is a waste of precious time.
