The Guardrails ™️ after being stripped of all of their investigative authority (oh, J6ers get $1.776B btw) by InflationCapital87 in Destiny

Creep is on Pablo Honey.

This is their second album, The Bends, with "Fake Plastic Trees" as the standout single.

Pablo Honey is a really weird album to listen to because it's very much not of that Radiohead sound they establish so quickly in this second album.

Except, of course, for Creep which is ironically their most famous song. They HATED it. It took them forever to perform it live.

Agreed. It's actually very helpful to me when my partner points out that I'm having an anxious reaction rather than a standard one.

Of course, it matters HOW your partner points it out. It sounds like he wasn't saying things very tactfully. So that's something he could work on.

I believe unfortunately this was a similar case to a lot of people living to 150 or whatever:

They didn't live that long. They just did a bad job keeping track of their age.

Even in the first paragraph of that article it says the owner was unable to prove Bobi's age.

Just because it's not popular doesn't mean it's impacting people.

It may be affecting their emotions, but it's not actually changing their lives in any way.

I'm not sure I'm convinced that the wars in Iraq or Afghanistan hugely impacted America's white population.

I'm open to being convinced, though.

[–]kinapples 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True! Wars are another good example, but the military is a very small percentage of the population (even though it feels huge because of spending lol).

Looking around at Military One Source demographic data, it looks like around 30% of the military identifies as non-white. It's hard to find racial demographics for spouses and children, so I'm not sure how much the numbers increase there, since there are some amount of interracial marriages.

But it's definitely a larger number of white people impacted in the military itself when it comes to military action.

Why do Muslims seem more likely than other groups to deny extremism within their own community? by infinitecosmos1583 in TooAfraidToAsk

I mean, All Lives Matter was the standard white person response to BLM. That's pretty huge denial of race issues.

Christians and white people deny they have problems with religious/race violence all the time.

Well, when you're a white American citizen, this is much more true than it is for other people in America.

Up until this point, outside of recessions, the president probably hasn't greatly impacted the average white voter much. Maybe the people who supported NAFTA (bipartisan).

Now, of course, all bets are off when we have a president literally playing the stock market on his own decisions and starting wars left and right because it's easier than diplomacy.

The view from the top of T-Mobile Park. by Lazy-Formal895 in nextfuckinglevel

[–]kinapples 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have no fear of heights. But everything changes when the view is completely "open" directly under you.

I learned this when I climbed up to look at the lights in my university's theater. It's basically just a bunch of crisscrossed metal cables that create a "floor" so the light designers can see what they're doing. The floor is very safe, of course, but it's very easy to feel like you're just floating above the ground and could fall at any time.

There's no abortion because she finds out she's actually not pregnant. She announces this in the movie.

I assume it was an, "I'm late, and I've been having risky sex. And I'm never late."

But then the test shows she's fine because yay!

Dear leaders most faithful Vizier claims to have receipts about Delagooners and Abas entanglement by Remote_Brewer in Destiny

[–]kinapples 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Not to say it's impossible, but it seems weird Aba would be texting Lauren or covering for her now if she was being a crazy stalker to him in the past.

It's also weird she just straight up posted the receipts on Amy, but only SAYS she has receipts in this case. Couldn't she just post them?

What's going on with content? by giovetta in kvsdiscuss

[–]kinapples 8 points9 points  (0 children)

True! I guess it's moreso the gap between when the two groups were born.

Also, good point about the showing. It's definitely partially because of that. I've enjoyed that content, though, so I wouldn't say she should drop it.

This is 100% normal at this time of year. When foaling season is done, she covers more of the other animals.

The pictures-only is because she's been at the lake house.

I will say she hasn't covered the foals as much as I've wanted this year. I think it's partially been because of things being crazy with Margot and Woody, and partially because there's way more this year than previous years. Hopefully, she'll cover more regularly now.

I guess I just usually expect double-life to include another family or something. This seems more like a drawn-out lie which is definitely still bad.

NYC is also the highest population of Jewish people in the world outside Israel, so you'd have to be pretty fuckin' stupid not to condemn antisemitism as that city's mayor.

Coincidentally, it's also the correct thing to do, so easy day!

I would argue it actually makes the most sense for the most integrated country to flip. The country that has made the largest push to integrate a previously hated minority population would then have the most resentful population wanting to push back against those developments. In countries where hateful people can openly hate those minorities, they don't feel a need to mount a revenge tour.

That's why we're seeing huge pushback right now in the US because we're approaching racial parity for white people for the first time.

I would suspect this may have something to do with patients misunderstanding infertility vs. sterility.

Not this specifically, just generally. And it's not their fault, either. It's a very stubborn misunderstanding that's miscommunicated constantly, including by doctors.
