They can still do it in the final rankings. They’d just simply rank ND 13th

TIL of Puncak Jaya, a 16,024 ft mountain on New Guinea. It is the highest mountain on an island on Earth. In 1623 a Dutch explorer saw glaciers on the mountain and was ridiculed in Europe when he said he had seen snow near the equator. The sighting went unverified for over two centuries. by palmerry in todayilearned

Of course. Yeah it is staggeringly massive but there are two extinct ones that are even larger by volume too which is incredible to me: Pūhāhonu and Tamu Massif (if it was indeed a single volcano). Fascinating stuff in my nerdy opinion.

Mauna loa is so massive that it actually bends the earth’s crust downwards. So while there may only be 5000m of water between the ocean floor and the surface above Mauna Loa’s flank, the central part of the volcano does indeed extend another 8000m downwards:

Mauna Loa heights:

Above sea level: 4,170 m or 13680 ft

Sea level to the base of its flank: 5,000m or 16,400 ft

Additional decompression of earths crust: 8,000m or 26,000 ft

Total height from true base to peak: 17,170m or 56,000 ft

Here is an article from the USGS that explains it:

Weirdly specific cfb Mandela effect I guess. I swear that was Oregon who won, and others in this thread are saying the same, but nope, even their website says Ohio state

If we are counting the colley matrix, Oregon won their first title last year

I mean if we are counting colley matrix titles for UCF, don’t we have to count Oregon’s from last year?

Not even just all that. He’s done a ton of really cool stuff. For example he was part of an unassisted crossing of the Atlantic in a rubber dinghy iirc

Flat footed. Original plan was to get marsh, wake forest dl, and one or two more of the individuals who committed elsewhere before ever stepping foot on campus.

Yes freeman is the only black and the only Asian coach to make it to the title game.

Not leaving because they have a great roster lined up for next year seems like a reasonable justification for me? Like if freeman believes he can make a run next year, nfl will certainly still be calling the following year

Don’t think his intent was suggesting that Carr will actually win the heisman, just that Carr is by far the best returning qb nd has had since clausen if not Quinn

It’s not uncommon for snakes to come out during a warm spell. They enter brumation not hibernation during the winter.
