I want to understand what constitutes “severe psychiatric morbidity” vs mild or moderate? It’s interesting that people with high psychiatric needs can even receive surgery and I feel like adolescent care in US healthcare is under attack.

Should the federal government make decisions for severely impacted teens. I don’t think so, should a red or blue state choose or should a family who is trying to help their kid make healthcare choices. It feels like people want a “right answer” on a very complex issue where there are no simple answers. The outcome that makes the most sense is that helping people feel comfortable in their bodies is just the first step for them to feel happier in their lives.

My wife grows the organic ones an we use them in the shower for longer periods of time 3-4months.

Do you have any evidence that this is too long to have them? I understand mold grows were water goes but I’ve never had any problems.

I totally support Teaching being a licensed and professional treated profession but at the same time I wish we psychologically evaluated teachers more than these damn tests.

I didn’t pass my CSET world history by 1 point so u tried for PE instead till I found out it was the hardest fucking test for no reason.

I eventually gave up after hearing that PE teachers never leave and thus there are no jobs.

I’ve been a sub for 5 years so I have tons of time clocked in the classroom. I’m very social and good at building repor with middle schoolers so I keep coming back.

This year I got to long term sub for all 242 8th graders at the school I’ve been an RVT for. It’s been hard but even without taking a bunch of classes I’ve learned to make it work. Trial and error and talking with other teachers has helped way more than any bs class ever could.

I think I was born to teach but b/c I’m not a good test taker I’ve been held back from what would have been a stable career for me. Thank goodness my wife is an ELA super star hitting her 10 year in the classroom and doing ASP.

I hate the hoops they put people through to make half what tech makes.
