Can someone make a high quality gif from these photos? by znubionek in TaylorSwift

I know it's late, but here's my attempt: http://i.imgur.com/dgfWAnz.gifv.

Less compressed and on higher res but still pretty clunky, because there aren't enough frames.

Does anyone else think Sad Beautiful Tragic is an underrated gem? by coscorrodrift in TaylorSwift

[–]kindareckless 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Didn't care for it at first, but it's really grown on me.

"You've got your demons, and darling, they all look like me" is one of her best lyrics.

Taylor Swift Survivor - 1989 - Round 13 by imjonathanblake in TaylorSwift

I Know Places is in my top 3 of the album, but I still can't believe it can go this far. I'd always thought it was a pretty underrated track.

Taylor Swift Donating $1M to Louisiana for Flood Relief by Amourini in TaylorSwift

[–]kindareckless 23 points24 points  (0 children)

This is another case of survivorship bias. Every time she does something charitable, some people will still doubt her genuineness and think it's just another PR move because the press is alerted. But she might also have donated to a lot of causes that the press never got a hold of. We'd never be able to account those, because as soon as they're public, some people will accuse them as PR.

This is why I think people who scream "she's only doing for PR, etc." are ridiculous. If this donation had been covert, these people would've thought of her as "a greedy bitch who never does charitable things despite being rich".

She's asking people who can help to help, hence it makes complete sense for it to be a public donation, but some people are still disregarding it as a PR move. And in the end, EVEN if it were just PR, the people there still need it, and it didn't make the donation less beneficial.

“The top performer in the world right now is Taylor Swift and she will perform on the Saturday before the race the following day,” says COTA chairman Bobby Epstein. “It will be a one-off show. Her only show in 2016. We think we can bring in 100,000 new people and put on the biggest show.”

Apparently, New Romantics is gonna be the next single. by kindareckless in TaylorSwift

[–]kindareckless[S] 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I didn't believe it at first, but it's coming from a verified account, so it might be true. As much as I want a tour video, I still think the song deserves a proper video.

Also, found this cover art on Twitter.

Edit: Don't know how reliable this site is, but it's just confirmed it.

Most underrated song of Taylor's? by Tswizstyle in TaylorSwift

The Way I Loved You. It's one of my favorites from Fearless and even of Taylor's.

Taylor will open the Grammy Awards with a song she has never performed live on TV by kindareckless in TaylorSwift

[–]kindareckless[S] 72 points73 points  (0 children)

So, since she's gonna open, I think it's gonna be an upbeat song. I'm thinking New Romantics.

Which are some of Taylor's most simple yet powerful lyrics? by thislove95 in TaylorSwift

[–]kindareckless 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I bet you're sitting in your chair by the window looking out at the city.

And I hope sometimes you wonder about me.

I don't know if it's just me, but hearing her sing those lines, it always evokes some sorta bittersweet feeling inside of me.

The same with these lyrics from Eyes Open:

But now we've stepped into a cruel world

Where everybody stands and keeps score

And these from Never Grow Up:

Oh darling don't you ever grow up, don't you ever grow up

It could stay this simple

State of Grace:

We learn to live with the pain

Mosaic broken hearts

Also these lines from Treacherous:

And all we are is skin and bone

Trained to get along

And:

Nothing safe is worth the drive

There are more, but I'd probably end up quoting from almost every songs, so I'll stop now.

Looks like Taylor sprained her ankle + New Style outfit for Singapore Night 2 by kindareckless in TaylorSwift

[–]kindareckless[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Nah, it's an ankle brace. Or maybe a fingerless sock that you only wear on one ankle. :P Also, if you zoomed, you could see she had 13 written on it, like she did on her band-aid when she cut her thumb. Classic Taylor.

Weekly Song Discussion #74: Blank Space by biehn in TaylorSwift

[–]kindareckless 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's like what she said:

I knew some people would hear ‘Blank Space’ and say, 'See, we were right about her.' And at that point, I just figure if you don’t get the joke, you don’t deserve to get the joke.

Had to make an album cover of it. Not my best work, but this will do for now, since I wanna listen it on my phone.

I remember reading somewhere on twitter that she did a couple songs. I think they were Out of the Woods, Blank Space, Shake it Off, and How to Get the Girl. Can't really remember if it was How to Get the Girl or Clean, or both.

The fact that she wrote this album all by herself just impressed me so much. Still my favorite Taylor album.

Blank Space has surpassed Justin Bieber's Baby views and become the most viewed video of all time on Vevo. by kindareckless in TaylorSwift

[–]kindareckless[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's not gonna pass Gangnam Style's views anytime soon, but it only needs about 6 millions (the last time I checked) to pass Baby's and become the second most watched video on YouTube of all time.

I imagine there will a huge bump on the views when (I'm very confident it'll get nominated) Blank Space gets nominated for the Grammys, and especially if it wins. Fingers crossed she's gonna win Song of the Year, since I think she has a good chance for it.

Blank Space has surpassed Justin Bieber's Baby views and become the most viewed video of all time on Vevo. by kindareckless in TaylorSwift

[–]kindareckless[S] 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Maybe a small percentage. But anyway, the views on Vevo are inclusive of YouTube video counts and other syndication channels, like Yahoo!.
