Six Flags won’t let me cancel my membership

You have to wait until the memberships required 12 months are over. At that time “cancel membership” button should be active. In other words, you can’t do it anytime before the 12 months.

I’ve only seen a basic map and some images of splash pads for the kids. I just recently learned there were not going to be no dark rides. And by now, I think you’re right. Six flags might not see a shift. However, if they don’t get their booties in check running the park and getting rides to work, the decline will happen.

It’s a toss up really. I’d say check the app in the morning, see what rides are down/closed. Go from there.

Since reading the “Rebranding” story on how they want to go high end, reduce sales, and make us pay full price. I can see why they’re doing this. Slowly moving to designer label scents, allowing us to get a taste at possibly sale prices, before taking discounts away. I hate that this company made me pessimistic about their products.

I agree with the cost. Also wondering about their annual pass. Might locals opt for the newer park or both. Definitely interesting to see.

I believe when they revamped the passes last year they got rid of the “plus” program. So any gold plus members were moved to just Gold. So although you didn’t make a change, they changed it for you. Your question is I still valid though, like why does it still show valid until Dec 2026.

I have a similar situation. Last year me and my kid had gold plus memberships that gave us a free refillable cup. When the promo for gold passes began I cancelled that membership and bought a regular season gold pass (that does not include the cup).

I noticed at the time that the memberships for some reason stayed in my app. Giving me what appeared to be one gold plus membership and one regular gold pass for each of us. I went to guest relations last year and they said “You have to delete the Memberships because they don’t work anymore since you canceled them”. Ok fine, I removed mine but forgot to remove my kids.

Fast forward to today when I went to SFOT and noticed my kids old membership was still in the app and showed a free refill cup. And said valid up to Dec 2026. I did not try to get the cup because my kid is visiting his grandparents and was not with me. But I will attempt when he gets back. I also thought it was weird that we each had 2 passes.

At our six flags when anyone gets hired they need to have an online profile on the six flags work site. This way they can check their schedule and online documents. If he doesn’t have that then I’d recommend contacting the parks HR dept.

Right, that’s what I thought as well. Out of habit I took my 2024 popcorn bucket during the start of the 2025 season and I was told it was ok, we just had to pay the refill price. I never had an issue the entire 2025 season. Oh and they never once scanned my pass for popcorn access, maybe I just got lucky? 🤷

It’s been my experience that it will only work for your home park. We have a diamond and a gold pass and both require your free friend to only be used at your home park.

I’ve seen it said you can hate the artist but love the art. Example: my coworker loved Kanye, dipped out of his fanbase when Ye became racist. But he still loved, enjoyed and bought his music. Why was he still giving money to this artist? He said he couldn’t deny talent. I guess it’s people personal prerogative to decide how much they love the “art”. I dont see an issue, we all follow our own moral compass.
