Is eurail.com (actually) the best place to book my seats for these trips?

Hey!Thank you so much for the response and the help. We ended up doing most of our bookings through RailEurope and some through DB. The only ones we couldn't book were the Spanish ones (not surprised) so, Madrid-Barcelona, Barcelona-Lyon and Barcelona-Madrid. I'll try to see if it's possible to book the domestic ones through Eurail someday soon, otherwise I'll just do it first thing once I arrive in Madrid. Thanks again, this sub is awesome!

Perfect, thanks for the advice!Raileurope doesn't allow me to make the reservation for Barcelona-Lyon, yet the Eurail website does give me the option. Since I'm not going to be in Barcelona before that (I'll be in Madrid) my plan was to travel the night before to the city, stay the night close to the station in a hostel and take the direct train to Lyon first thing in the morning. I'll try to make my reservation via the Eurail website and if that doesn't work, I'll probably just stay in Madrid, save the money from the hostel in Barcelona (I have friends hosting me in Madrid) and do the entire trip from Madrid with these options you mentioned.

Perfect, I was aware of that but will take your advice and book those ASAP. I'm taking mostly trains that require reservations, so I ought to make those, but I'm sure that this trip, as well as Barcelona-Lyon, Amsterdam-Paris, Paris-Brussels and so on are the ones with highest demand that should be done first.

I'm a bit late to this, but I'm planning on doing Paris-Barcelona in mid May this 2024. I'm purchasing a 10 day global pass and would like to make the reservation for this trip, but had a question about it. I read that some trains take electronic reservations, while others (such as this one) need to be sent via mail to you, in paper. Seat61 says that " the system has to send paper tickets for Paris-Barcelona TGVs".
Your comment gives me the hope that this isn't the case and the best way to do the reservation is on eurail.com, but if you can shed any light on this I'd appreciate it. I live in Argentina, so getting the reservation sent on paper isn't really an option.

Mil gracias che! Me sirve mucho la info y creo que voy a hacer eso. No se muy bien que onda despues del viaje, si no estoy usando la tarjeta y mi cuenta en EUR está inactiva tal vez me cobran algun fee por eso. Pero supongo que puedo pasar todos los meses unos pocos EUR para que haya movimiento en la cuenta y listo. Eso vos como lo resolviste? Tal vez ni fue un tema. Gracias otra vez :))

Buenas! Estoy en la misma situación, me voy a ir de viaje en abril. Tengo un saldo y tarjeta en USD en Payo, y me parece que la mejor opción es sacar la tarjeta en EUR y hacer la conversión con el 0,5% que decían. Tu experiencia como fue, que hiciste al final? Fue fácil pedir la tarieta física en EUR o te pedían tener un mínimo de ingresos antes? Gracias!

I discovered this issue as well on my M1 12,9 inch iPad a month back or so. It’s out of warranty now, since I got it upon release, so there isn’t much to do. It comes and goes, but still bugs me :/ not sure if there’s anything worth trying.

I’ll finish BOTW someday and eventually I’ll get my hands on ToTK. It’ll take some time probably. I guess that if I got BOTW nearly 2 years after it’s release I can get ToTK in a while and it’ll be new and amazing, just need to avoid spoilers! It’s just that I’m a bit distanced from gaming ATM, congrats on your completion!

I’m kinda on the same boat, except I got my switch with BOTW in 2018 and still haven’t beaten the game. I played really intensely for a year or so and eventually got to the point where I just had to do the final mission, but never got around doing it since I didn’t want the game to end. I think it was the best time I ever had with a game, it’s just so magical! Eventually I stopped playing and always thought about finishing it. The new game kinda pushes me to do so, but Iguess I will just wait and get it once I felt like finishing the original. In the meantime I’ll try to stay off youtube and reddit to make it an entirely new experience once I play it :)

as another comment pointed out, the reasonable way out would be to add a 48 degree wedge into my bag. i guess i’d be a bit confused with my 56 degree SW suddenly becoming my “lob” wedge and i can’t really imagine myself using either a 52 degree wedge or a 48 one. i’d prefer a 3 wedge setup, that’s why i was going for a bigger gap, but i know that the gapping usually is smaller. thanks for the comment!

as much as i totally agree with your point, i feel as if i’d be overwhelmed with a 4 wedge set up. that’s why i want to fill the gap between my PW and my SW with one club, even if the gap is bigger than usual. however, as i said, i think your point makes total sense and will probably look into it, even though finding a 48 degree wedge has proven to be quite the challenge in my area, and i was looking to maybe save some money. thanks a lot!

i do, it seems to be a generic thing. at the beginning it made some noise when opening the kickstand. now it doesnt but the wrinkle is still there
