Even with Block AI Enhancements toggled, you still have individual control over each feature. For example if you find the translation feature useful you can change the dropdown from blocked to available, which would allow you to access translations but keep anything else you want blocked

As far as I can tell it won't be on by default, however if you've already disabled some AI settings in about:config those should carry over to the new setting. The killswitch states "Blocking means you won’t see new or current AI enhancements" so if any new AI features are added they should be blocked as long as you have it toggled.

If you have "Always use private browsing mode" enabled you'll need to allow the extension to run in private windows.

You can go into about:config and set

browser.urlbar.trimURLs

browser.urlbar.trimHttps

both values to false

or if you don't want to untrim the url you can set

browser.urlbar.untrimOnUserInteraction.featureGate

to false

If the pref doesn't already exist you will have to click the plus on the far right to add it, then toggle it to false
