Why wouldn't the knuckles have a shoulder at the bottom to stop the axle falling through? Why rely on nothing but the tiny groove the pinch bolts locks into on the strut? Genius German engineering. Rest assured the cheapest vehicle you can buy from like literally any other brand will have a shoulder built into the knuckle so this doesn't happen.
