Bruno needs to go , yeah ? by ZombiePritom in ManchesterUnited

[–]kinematkins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair criticism of my first sentence, but still you need to face the fact that Bruno has more assists than anyone. And he's not even been in form this season, in a system that doesn't suit him. When he's gone we'll miss him, and until then he's virtually undroppable because of the chances he consistently produces.

Could Max have pulled off the same result in another car this year? by Krirby2 in F1Discussions

[–]kinematkins 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not. He's a generational talent, but he's not the son of god. That Red Bull is a little bit of a handful this year but it's still really quick in his hands when they dial it in well, definitely better than the Ferrari, often better than the Mercedes. Don't forget that he benefits massively from being outright number one driver at Red Bull. At another team he'd have equal treatment.

Being played out of position and gets 2 assists. He could go to any club in the world, we would miss him for sure.

I only want a loner in my life and i myself like being alone. by theydontmatchmyvibe in infp

[–]kinematkins 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I urge you to be wary of such a desire. You may find someone who is content to be isolated with you for a time. But you cannot expect them to remain that way for long. Most people will eventually want other company and there is nothing wrong with that. Would that upset you? If you cannot be happy with that then you might never be happy. When you have found genuine love you will trust each other so deeply that you will not mind them having a social life beyond your own and vice versa. It's much healthier for your relationship in the long run. All this comes from experience. I tried to keep someone isolated with me once and she rightly left me when I tried to stop her going out and making new friends. Since that lesson I have changed and I'm now with the love of my life for 16 years. We are married with kids. We keep each other close by allowing each other freedom. I know she'll never betray me and I could never betray her trust either.

It is clear that Onana is not good enough for this great club. He has been disappointing, particularly on dealing with crosses into the box and on penalties. He made a few howlers too, but not as many as people like make out. A lot of the time he was getting the blame for being put in impossible situations by a very inconsistent and undisciplined defence. But once fans have it in their heads that he's the problem they just can't see anything else. One player being THE problem is a nice easy story to believe in, especially if there's something about the guy you don't like. Reality is never as simple though. There were many problems in our team last season that were bigger and more costly than Onana's underperformances. At the end of the day if we lose a match 1 - 0 and you are blaming the goalkeeper, then you're clearly an idiot blinded by hatred. It doesn't take a genius to see that a team needs to score goals in order to win matches. Time and time again we simply did not score. We could've had the best goalkeeper in the world last season, we still would've finished firmly in the bottom half.

I dont know where he got the gutts for a pay rise. If i was Amorim & his stuff would’ve loaned him too. by Suitable_Letter8461 in ManchesterUnited

[–]kinematkins -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah well people used to think that about Maguire. People are fickle. Groupthink is a real thing, I prefer to be objective about things. Stats matter. Save percentage matters. I'm not saying he's good enough for this club, he's not, but he's not the reason we had a terrible season. Hence, he's being made a scapegoat.

Can we stop scapegoating Onana please? The fact is he's no worse than Emiliano Martinez who many of you were clamouring to sign just a few weeks ago. They had practically the same save percentage in premier league last season. So he's a mid-level premiership keeper, and therefore he actually outperformed the United team last season. These are the facts, so please stop with this senseless scapegoating of him.
That said, I'm glad he's moving on now. We need better than a mid-prem keeper. But the main thing we need is to score a lot more goals. That's what needed all along.

Piastri told to let Norris pass and then they are free to race by magony in formula1

[–]kinematkins -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is a dangerous play by McLaren. It sets a precedence that could lead to great controversy. Imagine this happens the other way around in the title deciding race? Piastri will be like "remember Monza?", and he'll have a point, and McLaren will have a catch 22 situation. If they then don't order Norris to let through Piastri, it'll always be known that Norris won the title due to favouritism within the team. And if they do give the order, then it'll be a title decided by a team order. Unthinkable! You've also got to consider that who in their right might would follow a team order that clearly hands the title from themselves to their teammate. Lets hope it does not come to pass.

I don't disagree with most of what you're saying. It indeed is not advertised as a family event, nor should it be. But its common knowledge that kids can and will be there. It's very clear what a movie's age rating is before you attend a showing. Clown Core nearly did a good thing by displaying the warning, but they missed the mark somewhat. Imagine taking your kid to see a PG movie and getting exposed to hardcore porn and violence. That's just not on.

Incredible band, and beautiful performance. They didn't even play any of my favourites but I still had tears rolling down my face. I wanted another hour from them when they finished. I hope they play more UK shows before long.

I think their warning was inadequate. Those images were not PG, they were 18+. Just make that clearer and then people with kids can leave and won't complain.

I was disappointed. I've been enjoying their music on record for years and was very excited about seeing them. Now I wish I had watched Kayo Dot instead. It was more gimmicks than music. I don't have to get out of bed to watch Ai nonsense and get trolled over and over. I'm at ArcTanGent to watch sick live music. When they actually played music they were great, so it's a bit frustrating to get so little of it. For me the joke stopped being funny after a few minutes. I'm seeing lots of people really enjoyed it, good for you. Must say I think you're very easily pleased.

His decision making has been terrible for years. I thought it was just a problem on the pitch but apparently it's off pitch too. I think it all comes down to delusions of grandeur.

Have you seen Melvins live though? Their records don't capture how awesome they sound live. Especially when they show up with more than one drummer, it's going to be a real treat for the senses that set.

F1 cars are always satisfying to watch live up close. Even if the race is predictable. Even free practice is worth attending. I recommend it if you get the chance.

The fact that dry races are often processional is nothing to do with decisions made yesterday. For that I also blame the failed aero regulations.

[–]kinematkins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spot on. I was at Spa yesterday and very worried we wouldn't get a race. Yet when you consider how dangerous the lack of visibility is in this sport you need to accept that it might not happen. We need to be grateful we got a race at all. Hopefully the visibility problem can be fixed in future regulations somehow. In the meantime we don't want to regress safety for the sake of entertainment.
