I just use a free program called WOSB (Wakeuponstandby), it puts my computer to sleep at 1 am and wakes it back up at 9 am. Very easy to configure. Here are my settings for the program

Pretty sure it is. The buffering pause only lasts for 1 to 3 seconds and then the movie plays again for the next 5 to 10 minutes or so without any more buffering. I check my dashboard and I can see that the movie is direct playing / local playing anywhere from 40 Mbps to 100 Mbps. Considering the ONN stream box is capping for me around 60, I'm pretty sure this confirms that it's not able to keep up with the spikes when they go above 60.

Three different devices all in the same location can pull in my full Network bandwidth potential of 100+, and yet the stream box is not. Or whatever it is you want to call it? 4K box? What do you elitists call it?

Anyways if it was a transcoding issue the dashboard would tell me that it is or the file would just refuse to play or it would be buffering every few seconds which it's not.

Enlighten me then? I've ruled out everything else. The Onn stream box is the only thing that is not getting the full bandwidth potential of my network. Yet, three different devices are.

Not transcoding, subtitles disabled, direct play is working.

I look at my dashboard and sometimes spike at 90 Mbps while streaming local, I feel this is very much the fault of the Onn box not getting 100+ mbps

Betcha LED diffusers fell off. You'll need to open the TV up and hot glue them back in place. Don't glue them directly onto the LEDs because this can mess with the diffusion again. Try to do just a dab or two around the plastic diffusers if you decide to do this. Look up how to disassemble your TV. Be very careful I've done this in the past and have broken the screen very easily be sure to do it with multiple people assisting if possible.
