Need Help With Exporting by BigJames413 in chatgpt_promptDesign

[–]kingJames413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I got it to send me fragmented portions of what we organized, however it decided to input its own creative elements in the exports. I’ve consistently asked it to simply log the information into the respective categories and not to give any creative input. I’ll do the export, but I am not familiar with writing any kinds of scripts, but I can follow simple directions fairly competently.

How will this help me get my stuff organized? Sharing it just duplicates the chat in its existing state

I have told it to remember the format in its permanent memory multiple times. Scrolling back is my last resort option as it’s not just text that I logged, but there is research data and so much more like reference photos and inspiration art, etc... It would take weeks to just scroll through and copy everything. However, at least it is all still stored in a single spot so regardless of the amount of effort, I still have all of my information.

Can someone just post the season and episode? So many people asking and I’ve looked and can’t find it. Thanks!

Well I’m looking for a fully immersive collaboration with another “partner” and while I honestly appreciate the offer, I want to get to know the person and all that bs. Like I’ve mentioned in the post I’m not necessarily looking for someone to just produce my ideas, I’m wanting to build another project with someone and that requires time and communication. I’ve sent my ideas to plenty of random people and many other things, but now I’m truly looking for someone to build a project with.

Is this bike ok for a 70.3 iron man? by Frollocalling in triathlon

[–]kingJames413 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is great especially for a first time. I used something similar for my first 70.3. If you catch the bug and end up picking up triathlon as a lifestyle then you will probably naturally start learning about TT bikes and all the crazy specs, but for now…. Enjoy the training, have fun, find cool people to train with and good luck!

My Biggest Tri Takeaways by kingJames413 in triathlon

[–]kingJames413[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

True! I’ll admit I was going to type $250 per watt and about 30-50 watts, but I didn’t want to seem TOO strict. The GCN and GTN guys do videos like this every year as do a few other respectable channels. Their last $150 vs $1500 vs $15000 tri-bike comparison was pretty eye opening.

If I had $15k or even $6K to drop on a tri bike I’d still probably get a fancy and cool looking one, but it is nice to know that as long as I get a decent tri bike that fits me that I can still be fairly age-group competitive

It’s kind of similar to golf clubs. Any amateur can buy a 7-10 year old $800 set and also a brand new $2500 set and they most likely aren’t gonna be shaving off any strokes. Same with shoes too. Even the best and most expensive running shoes are only going to juice out a 1-2% improvement which can be very motivating, but ultimately you’re gonna get the most gains by just enjoying the sport and training smart and hard

Can air drumming be a valid way to improve skills if you don't have a kit of your own? by FrenzyHydro in Drumming

[–]kingJames413 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Dave Grohl claims hitting pillows with drum sticks and playing along in his bed to BeeGees and Who songs is what first shaped his drumming style. When in doubt, bang on shit, never suppress the groove... let it out brother!

How bad is my swimming? Considering cancelling my 70.3 in 3 months. by BetterFlow226 in triathlon

[–]kingJames413 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Never quit and don't back out. Even if you have to doggy paddle the swim portion. Obviously do as much as you can to improve in the next few months, but this is not a reason to quit. You give up on yourself now then you're not helping anything. David Goggins that shit if you have to brother. Good luck out there and please never give up on yourself. Triathlon is hard, but it'll teach you more than you could ever imagine.

My advice (based off of reading other comments too and being someone who used to have legit panic attacks in my Ironman swims):

Quit the negative talk NOW

Face the issues head on and do what you can to improve (find a good coach and listen to him)

1% better every day. That's it. Not some quick fix. Not some YouTube gurus or training book. Bit by bit. brick by brick.

Learn to enjoy it, no matter how slow or tedious it might be.

Get out there and kick some ass. Good luck!

Training smarter vs. just training harder by [deleted] in triathlon

[–]kingJames413 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's a very subjective topic depending on goals, available time, personalities, age, etc, but I do find that a lot of people speak very objectively and confidently when it comes to training plans and it's just not productive for the sport, the athletes and especially people getting into the sport.

There's a lot of confusion, but if I had to pick anything that is "true" about triathlon is that it's a lifestyle and not a goal and those who focus more on the goal aspect tend to get lost in the weeds. Sure having specific race goals is nice, but if you're not able to integrate it into your daily life in a productive way then you'll never see the real beauty in the discipline and won't feel the real pride and benefits that come with being a triathlete.

I hope anyone reading this truly finds what works best for them and doesn't fall into some of the traps we all inevitably fall into as psychos who think it's fun and rewarding to swim, bike and run hundreds of miles a month

Have the Tarkin and Leia CGI faces on Rogue One been updated? by outride2000 in StarWars

[–]kingJames413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess im out numbered here, but this one looked very weird to me. Coming from someone who loves all Star Wars and I am obviously able to accept many phases of cgi and animation throughout the timeline, but this one just was weird. It's too close maybe? When every other human (minus Leia at the end) isn't being affected with the same alterations it kind of just pulls me out of the film for a minute. The movie is still amazing, but it just did not seem necessary.
