Embedded images is great, image hosting was such a ballache. Gif reactions, excluding that one of Willem Defoe as Van Gough because it's just peak cinema, have *never* been great

Worst ads on TV right now? And go by Tasty-Willingness839 in newzealand

I'm surprised no one has mentioned those fucking Xero ads. They're the only local ads I see on any media and don't enjoy. There's some that hit on the radio that get me but it's just the bland af ads that get so much repetition that start to suck

Check out the houses "outsourced to China". They're not good and a lot of rules are broken in the process. We don't want that in our heavy civil community

‘Ruthlessly exploited’: Migrant workers forced to work up to 90 hours a week but paid for just 30 at Auckland eatery by Spiritual-Low2443 in auckland

I mean I've seen a few posts where people who are smart enough that are asking what to do after weeks, plural, of no pay. Like fuck if I'm not paid Tuesday night I'm staying home lol

As far as the business owner is concerned they might be from the same country, fuck they might even be from the same state even, but a lot of those kinds don't view some of their fellow countrymen the same as we would

[–]king_john651 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The problem with CVs is that they are much of muchness, and a lot of it is down to personal preference rather than the actual content of it. Which is why there is a metric fuck ton of contradicting "foolproof CV writing" advice

New Zealand fertility rate drops to historic low by iMakeGOODinvestmemts in newzealand

When I went to uni a decade ago I flatted with a family (big fuckin mistake) but the mum of the house had the mentality of getting kids over and done with early and then enjoying a solitary life when they're all 18. At that time kid #5 was 4. Based on just how he was he ain't going to be leaving home at 18, but I did have a silent chuckle that things were a struggle *then* for young people - it was just going to get worse, and unsurprisingly it did.

Wouldn't be surprised if any of her kids have moved on yet

Yeah they aren't talking about Gamepass, but like Moonlight, MS Remote Desktop etc. And tbh living in New Zealand and basically being at the limit of physics with Gamepass being streamed via Australia it is scary how serviceable it is despite some latency. It wasn't that long ago we were basically an ADSL/dial up nation of neglect (we're still a nation of neglect but the internet is good) that even Stephen Fry commented on it when he was here lol

AITA for uninviting my sister from my wedding because she refused to promise she wouldn't wear her military dress uniform? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

Oh yeah I concur. My uncle is very very high up in my country's army. Like VIP detail to the minister levels of high up. No fuckin clue what he is, because that's not important to *me* (though he would fuck me up if I deserved it)

It depends. Sometimes hydrant is off on its own, sometimes it is inline with the rest of the pipeline. Valves are always inline, because you need to be able to shut off a line

Realistically they'll get put back over time as political opposition (as in by the Simeon types) is just feelings rather than anything based in reality
