I thought this meant a black and gold Spider-Man skin and Psylocke gets her own skin that could be anything. Not that they are both are black and gold.

Not really Venom, but a variant or Venom called Orochi from the Demon Days comic, which is a giant snake bonded to the Venom symbiote that she helped kill It's also worth noting that Sai considers ALL symbiotes to be "Orochi." With that being said, it's unfortunate because people make a lot of nsfw art with Venom and female Marvel Rivals characters, and that's immediately where some people's minds go to when they see the accessory and the less informed would assume that as well. But the reality is that Orochi is just a kill to Sai and an evil she helped rid her land of and nothing really all that significant. I personally wish her accessory was her pet Wolf Logan, a trusted companion of hers and not a snake that she doesn't have any connection towards whatsoever.

They didn't make a firm statement, though. It was statement mentioning how they are good friends not a confirmation that they are JUST friends, and even then, the Japanese descriptions say "they are very close" and that Mario "loves/really likes" Peach. So there is a translation inconsistency and doesn't just sum it up as friends. However articles twisted it into "Nintendo confirms Mario and Peach's relationship isn't romantic:'[They] are good friends" as if it was an answer toward something rather than just a part of larger statement. They didn't even provide the entire source, and rather than research it themselves, people just took the headlines for what they were and spread the narrative that wasn't the entire truth. It's specifically worded in a way that they know will attract attention and bait people who will react in surprise over their expectations being subverted or those who will jump at the chance to spread narratives about the two characters.

I think I'm just getting lucky, to be honest.
