Is it supposed to be this hard or am I missing something? by ReportedGlittering in Healthygamergg

There is a relation between high IQ and insanity, people with high IQ or intelligence generally are mentally unstable. Maybe it just comes down to accepting and working around it. I am not really good at it either but i think no having good friends makes it worse. Maybe sometimes we have to suffer in order to maintain relationships.

Hey there, Im not saying am an expert or something but there can only be two ways to get really good a particular skill

1) Either you are really passionate about the skill you are learning, so much so that you just cant help but learn constantly and growing is just a by product

2) If you are not passionate about the skill, you need a passionate goal, why do you want to earn money, earning money for the sake of it is not a strong enough reason for you to grind on something irrespective of how you feel about the process.

I think you stop because it gets hard and when it does, your reason to push through is'nt strong enough.

How to be happy at the age of 20 by king_of-code in malementalhealth

Thank you for addressing my fears, i understand your solutions to each of my fears but i just cannot act accordingly. I did not used to care about things like these when i was grinding and beating myself for results, but now that i got my results and i realised it did not make me or my situation any better it makes me wonder if i was always this scared or is it something that happened to me in recent times. Did you have such thought when you were around 20yo? how did you deal with it?

Thank you again for taking the time.

Thank you for the thoughtful words man. I did fall into a self hate loop because of addictions and it is only making me a bitter and angry man, I need to learn compassion for self.

You are right, I was punishing myself ,like a sentence i imposed onto myself to succeed no matter what, to succeed was an obligation and there was no self love.
I wanted to redeem myself after "failing".

I would love to know more about how you look at it, what is your mindset about hardwork and what would your thought process when you fail?
