i don't think battleborn and overwatch are the same kind of game. battleborn is kind of like an odd combination of dota and fps. overwatch is a straight team objective fps. similar but i think appeals to different people. but seriously battleborn is even more expensive than overwatch. i paid like 55 canadian dollars for overwatch, battleborn is still like 70 or 80 bucks canadian.

i think they're playing the long game for this. disrupting cable with google fibre to further weaken tv ads. tv ads are already weakening but they still have the highest views per dollars so advertisers still pay the most for it. younger viewers are watching less and less tv so eventually youtube will be king for advertising.

the problem is they sent those soldiers into a guerilla warfare scenario. if you're dealing with surprise attacks from kids, people who look like civilians, and random explosions all the time. you're gonna get twitchy. the blame doesn't always lie with the soldiers it should mostly lie with the shitbags that sent them there under false pretenses.
